This listing was just as advertised - it's located on a beautiful peace of land right on the water. The cottage was a great spot for friends and family to gather together for some time away. The water was surprisingly warm for a lake in late July and great for swimming off from their dock. We'll consider renting this spot again.
Our group of 9 had a great time canoeing, kayaking, BBQing, playing Wii and board games! It had rained the day we reached, so the water was cooler than we preferred and we didn't swim much, but had more than enough other fun stuff. Remember to bring insect repellant-we forgot ours, but found a store (and Tim Hortons!) only a 15 min drive away. Very convenient since were looking for a place that was tucked away. Matt was extremely patient with all our questions.
Stayed here over the weekend in mid June. The lake view and area is excellent. There is nice dock where you can fish from, we caught a few bass and perches.
The kayak and canoe are very nice to have and were great fun to use.
The host was great and provided us with useful information and had all the amenities on hand.
We had high expectations after falling in love with this listing and we were not disappointed. The cottage is cozy and very well-equipped with anything that you could possibly need for a relaxing get-away. We spent our days canoing, swimming in the lake, barbecuing and making s'mores over the campfire. Things never got boring with a house full of board games, VHS, DVDs and a Wii. Thanks to Matt for being a great host, who organized everything wonderfully and reacted to emails quickly ahead of our trip. Our only regret is that we only had three days off work - we would have loved to stay longer!
This place was great. We had so much fun! I caught a small mouth bass around 15 inches. Unfortunately, I had to release it because I was one day short of the season start. Campfire in front of the lake was good. We got around with a canoe and explored the lake. I would go again and my friends want to visit again. :))
Only negative point I have is that the cavern floor was kinda dirty. It could have been cleaner. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the place :)
This cottage was great for a bigger group. We only ended up with 7 guys instead of the original 10 but there would have been plenty of room. Great location close to toronto. And all the amenities you could need. Matt was quick to let us know the answers to any questions we had via email. Would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a nice cottage getaway.
This cottage was prefect for our large group! The location was excellent and very simple to get to! The bedrooms were all oversized with plenty of space and I look forward to staying again down the road!!!

About the Host, Trevor & Matt
Two Canadian brothers who are adventurers from Toronto looking to explore! Looking forward to meeting interesting people and discovering lots of new places!
Very friendly, responsible, tidy and respectful - but very tired of staying in cookie-cutter hotels that aren't worth the price.
