The oldest part of the structure originally stood on the bank, near the gully, and belonged to Ichabod Aldrich who sold it to captain George W. Coffin for $30. House was in a great location and very charming. Since it was built in 1790, I was glad none of us were too tall since doorways and furniture were on the smaller side. Greg was a fantastic host and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay!

Response from Greg:
Thank you so much for the feedback Elizabeth !~ I have hired a new crew and replaced all towels and sheets , August is the dampest month and the small dehumidifier units were not in place as they were suppose to be .Again. Thanks for this feedback. If you come back I will offer you a special deal and there will be all new sheets and linens.

Greg couldn't have been more helpful! The cottage was clean, very spacious and in a beautiful location. It was very easy to access the beach, local market for coffee and other essentials and the Wave bus for trips to downtown and other locations. The cottage includes a lovely yard and adorable back porch.

My husband, toddler and I had a wonderful time at The Seldom Inn. A lovely home in a idyllic location, it was perfect for us to relax and decompress. The beach and playground were perfect for our toddler and we loved walking around the neighborhood. We loved the charming Fourth of July Parade that commenced right outside of the house. Greg suggested that we pull our daughter in a wagon that he had decorated - it was the hit of the parade!

The Seldom Inn is a most special and wonderful house. We would highly recommend staying at this property, steeped in Nantucket history and in the calm and peaceful Sconset community. The location in Sconset is perfect, with a quick walk to the local store and cafe, together with our favourite Sconset beach. The property and garden are spacious, with ample entertaining space on the porch and the garden. Greg, your host, is just outstanding, easily on hand to help us with anything we needed and teaching us more about Nantucket and specifically, Sconset. Our 3 year old daughter summed it all up, in saying the day we left, "I love this house!". We have a really super week in Nantucket. Sebastian and family from London, England

Greg was more than accommodating! The cottage was quaint and charming. Lots of history there. The private yard and porch were perfect for outdoor dining and relaxing! We were able to walk right to sconset market and the Wave bus stop which takes you most places on the island. Greg was available whenever we had questions. We hope to come back soon!

We never visited Nantucket before going to Greg's place. He was so helpful, advising us on transportation, strategic grocery shopping, restaurants, bike rentals and beaches. The house has a great feel and the village reminds me of my childhood summers with kids riding bikes all over.
