Selected as one of the best airbnb apt in Rome.
Quiet, comfortable modern apt in a realpeople neighborhood in the north area of Rome. My apt has a bedroom with queensize bed, a living room, a small kitchen a large bathroom and a lovely sunny terrace full of plants. Cable tv and internet wifi is at your disposal during your stay.
MONTE MARIO is a very quiet and green neighborood. The aerea is almost like a little village, full of deli food shops, supermarkets and a daily open air farmers market where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables. Restaurants, espresso bar and ATM are walking distance from home. If you want to experience what "living like a local" means, MONTE MARIO is the right place you're looking for!
To reach the city centre you can get the train F3 LINE (5 stops to St. Peter). Bus n° 913 (ends in Piazza Augusto Imperatore, very close to the Spanish Step). There are also other bus lines that starts from Monte Mario Station (911, 49..).
WHAT TO SEE/DO CLOSE TO THE NEIGHBOROOD:
Arch. Renzo Piano's AUDITORIUM, PARCO DELLA MUSICA; Arch. Zaha Hadid's MAXXI CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM; Olympic Stadium; PONTE MILVIO bars and restaurants area, is easy to reach (bus 911 gets there in 15minutes).
Write me to check availability and I'll be happy to welcome you in Rome with further infos.
Simona é semplicemente perfetta! l appartamento é stupendo e il terrazzo un piccolo (website hidden) ha lasciato pure di che far colazione per tutta la settimana e ha provveduto a installarci pure un lettino per la nostra piccola giulia.Collegato col centro molto bene.
Simona is such a lovely person! The flat is very cozy and the terrace a little paradise.you can reach the city center very easy with the bus (also running the night) and the train. She provided us with breakfast which lasted the all week.Everything was perfect. If avaible we will for sure stay in the same place in our next trip to rome.
Simona is a wonderful host and her apartment is very comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed and her neighborhood is very authentic Roman. We would have coffee and juice in the piazza near her apt. and take in the neighborhood and meet some locals. No tourists in sight. Simona helped us figure out plans for transportation to city center and and other helpful advice. This was wonderful. We enjoyed the experience of staying a bit out of the center and riding the train or bus. We met people this way and were able to escape the crowds. Also, her terrace is beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend Simona's place in Rome.
Staying at Simona's place in Monte Mario was all we hoped for and more. We loved every moment on the beautiful patio. The apartment had everything we needed and Simona kindly provided coffee and breakfast foods. Our only regret was not having more days to enjoy.
My husband and I had a few days to spend in Rome and were lucky enough to have found Simona and her cozy apt. in MonteMario on AirBnB.
We were well taken care of! Simona provided a map and helpful tips and her cat, Ombretta, a gentle soul, kept us company while Simona was away. Everything about this apt. makes you feel at home.
This convenient apt. close to Rome's magnificent sights, by public transportation, is part of a Roman residential neighborhood and was perfect for the two of us. The apartment has a beautiful big terrace with lots of healthy plants along the perimeter, a grill and seating and canopies that can be spread overhead to protect from the sun. Security is always important to me, so I was grateful for the building's secure gates and Simona's keys.
Speaking of keys....Simona was kind enough to handle my problem using the wrong key by calling a locksmith and sending us off to enjoy Rome with reassurance all would be handled. Her good natured response allowed me to put aside my guilt for the day!
Thank you Simona for a lovely stay in Rome! We hope you will visit us in Hawaii one day!
Simona is incredibly lovely and a fantastic host, and the flat could not have been more comfortable!
Simona helped us to arrange a car pickup from the airport, which was very helpful, and we were greeted at home with a glass of wine, and tons of useful information about what to see and do, and how to get around Rome.
The flat is very well kept, and blessed with a massive plant-filled terrace, which was a great place to enjoy an espresso in the morning or a glass of wine or prosecco before bed.
I really couldn't imagine anyone or any place being more accommodating. If you don't care about stepping out of you door and straight into the Colosseum, it's definitely worth the distance!
Thank you, Simona!
I only hope that if we have the good fortune to visit Rome again, Simona's apartment will be available. The apartment was very comfortable. Not only was Simona's hospitality excellent but it was the little things that she did that made our stay comfortable and memorable. The location was very convenient for public transportation, both Metro and buses.
Simona's apartment is lovely and Simona is just over-the-top wonderful as a host. The apartment is in Monte Mario - a real-people neighborhood in Rome. It is a few steps from the 913 bus stop or a 10 minute walk to the train station. We stayed there to be close the John Felice Rome campus of Loyola University of Chicago but it would a great place to stay for someone wanting to experience real Italian neighborhood life (which we loved) and still have easy access to all the places to see in Rome. There are plenty of espresso bars and little deli shops nearby. The special standout feature of her place is the enormous balcony which is alone larger than any normal B&B accommodation. There are two large canopies which one can pull down or retract as one pleases. The apartment is modern, reasonably spacious, and more than adequate in every respect (being able to do a wash after 2 weeks of travelling was life-restoring). Separate kitchen, good bathroom and shower, comfortable bedroom and living room with lots of light from two different directions. Simona herself insisted on giving us a lift with our baggage to and from the local train station. She provided all the tea and espresso we could need and a delightful bowl of fruit (and bread and biscuits and a brand new bus map and tickets to take an open top bus tour. . you get the picture) which lasted through most of our stay.
Simona went to a lot of effort to ensure we had a great stay. She prepared tourist information,(was also available and helpful throughout our time by phone) had breakfast supplies ready and even coooked for us first night. Her apartment had all amenities, nice little kitchen, washing machine, internet, cable TV and lovely terrace .Felt private and at home. There were several transport options to main city area, all taking around 30 minutes by public transport (1 euro) or by taxi/car 15 mins and 20euro. We had no trouble getting a bus from historic area to 100 metres near the place even at 11pm. You just need to get to know what buses and where to find them in the city. Local area has cafes and bank.
We extended our stay by 2 days as we were so happy. Thanks Simona
