We're travelers at heart, so we'll definitely point you towards the great things in Tampa Bay area. Open minded people, willing to host GLBT.
We have one bedroom with a queen sized bed (comfy with thick memory foam),
there is also space for another air mattress if needed in this bedroom but then it would be tight quarters. The Bathroom is shared and you are welcome to use the kitchen and our refrigerator for your food as well.
Also available (see other listing or contact us) is a very large twin bedroom that has plentiful space for air mattresses if you are a larger group or have lots of kids :D
We have one small dog, he is very friendly and we are willing to consider having your pet stay here depending on size and personality.
We love sharing our neighborhood and city with visitors and potential new residents, so we look forward to meeting you and being a part of your Tampa experience!
**Please message me with information about your travel and and a personal introduction prior to making a booking-we will respond promptly**
Tampa doesn't have the greatest public transportation system. We've had some guests use it (there are multiple lines running near the house). We really recommend that guests rent a car or use Lyft- that is great in Tampa too. If anyone tells you the transit in tampa is good, they probably haven't tried to use it...
Other Things to Note
The house decor has changed somewhat since the photos were taken. Still much of the same things, but slightly rearranged, repainted etc :)
*Smoking is permitted outside only (be considerate with your butts, we don't want them in our garden.)
*Kitchen is available for use (shared), please clean up after yourself.
* If you need to use the computer, you are welcome to use the extra one but we do not have a printer set up at this time.
*Outside areas are open to your use- porch, patio, small fire pit.
*Pet policy is limited based on size (small to medium), friendly and not destructive. Please discuss your animal with us before arrival. If your animal doesn't get along with our dog, obviously we'll have to keep them in separate rooms. You will be held accountable for any damage done by your pet, as we would expect the same with our pup when we travel.
*Please be respectful of common courtesy: we work and go to school, so don't be loud late at night (we don't have a curfew or anything, but if you do come home late, do it quietly please). We sometimes have to get up early for work/school, but we'll extend the opposite courtesy of being quiet so you can continue to sleep if you wish.
* Check-in/Check-out time is flexible, speak with us about your plans. We are more than willing to hold your bags for you if you need to leave them for a late flight or other reason. The rest of the house space is additionally available for your use (as is the room if we don't have another guest coming. Again, speak to us).
Stefanie was not only accommodating, but she went above and beyond to help me in my Tampa apartment search during my visit. Her place is beautiful and clean--I'd recommend staying with her to any traveller!
Stefanie has a wonderful home in a neighborhood filled will beautifully restored bungalows. And the high school across the street is a marvel. A great neighborhood to walk around in. And there are restaurants close by. Stefanie was very friendly and informative. She immediately made me feel right at home. I was very comfortable during my stay.
We had a lovely time! Although our host had a family medical emergency the morning of our arrival, we were immediately contacted via phone and given instruction as to how to access our accommodations until her return. The location is near restaurants and downtown with available parking. We would definitely stay with Stefanie again if we had another occasion to visit the Tampa area.
Everthing was very clean and comfortable. Also Stefanie and his hustband are very helpful. They have also a kind of guestbook with information about Tampa and St. Petersburg.
We would stay there again.
Stefanie and her family were great hosts! My friend and I were in town to watch a few spring training baseball games and visit some local beaches. Stefanie was accommodating and friendly, and the quarters were perfect! She even gave us a few recommendations on local spots to eat. I would definitely recommend a stay at this great location!
Stefanie and Tommy are great hosts! They are very friendly, easygoing, and full of great suggestions for things to do and see. Plus, Slippers, the family dog, is the sweetest and smartest doggie I've ever met!
The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, as was the bathroom. The house is easy to find, and there is plenty of parking on the street. The neighborhood was safe, peaceful, and nice, with everything you need close by.
Stephanie & her family were very friendly, & we stayed in communication through texting. I enjoyed a pancake breakfast with them one morning. It was an enjoyable stay, although the room could have been cleaner.
