Interaction with Guests
We almost always have one person on site to assist you with any needs you may have. Otherwise, we are generally in town and can be reached easily via cell phone. Have questions about where to go, where to eat, what's going on in town? Ask us and we'll give you thorough answers to make your trip perfect!
Uptown Denver has been developing over the last two decades into one of the hippest areas of Denver. Some of the best new local restaurants are in walking distance as well as the Capitol Building, 16th St. Mall, Colorado Convention Center, etc.
We are located right on 17th Avenue which is where some of the best local hot spots are located in Denver! Stroll down the street to a ping pong bar, a dessert bar, one of the most popular sports bars in town, gourmet dining opportunities, awesome shopping, and whatever else you may be looking for.
We have great walking proximity to many great spots. Taxis are very regularly coming around, Car2Go is prevalent in Denver and we are well within its range (so there are regularly cars within a block). 16th Street Mall has a free bus which is just walking distance to.
Other Things to Note
We can reserve a spot which is in a lot adjacent to the building. Cost is $10/night (24hr period) and is an assigned spot.
Other options include street parking (2hr limit at most times) and lots at about $4.50/12hrs. Keep in mind that the 4.50 price does not include in and out privileges - so you would have to pay every time you parked there regardless of timing.
No smoking, no pets.
Joey was a great host. He provided a helpful list of things to do (and places to eat) in the neighborhood. Additionally, he was quite flexible — our flight was late in the afternoon, and he allowed us to stay past the standard departure time.
The apartment was clean, quiet, and centrally located. It's only a few blocks from the state capitol, the Denver Art Museum, and Colfax Avenue.
Joey was very prompt to respond throughout this entire process, and everything about the apartment was exactly as listed! We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere we needed to be (came into town for a concert at the Fillmore) due to the great location. Joey even left us a handout with some information on local restaurants and entertainment, which was great. Denver wouldn't have been such a wonderful experience for us if we hadn't booked this apartment!
Loved the location and check in and out was very easy! The space was perfect for our needs as well. Wished we could have stayed longer!
The Capital Hill neighborhood where this apartment is located is my favorite part of Denver with great food, coffee shops, and bars; and downtown is only a short walk away. This older apartment was exactly as advertised, and everything was clean and in working order. The host, Joey Sudmeier, was very punctual about notifying me before check-in & check-out, which made my first Airbnb experience a pleasant one.
Great location. 3 of the top ten coffee spots in Denver are close by. Heaps of interesting restaurants too. Short walk to Downtown. Apartment nice and as shown in pictures. Joey v helpful.

About the Host, Joey
Hi, I'm Joey.
I spent years in the hospitality industry primarily running the food and beverage operations. After about a decade I moved on to entrepreneurial work.
I'm a native to Colorado and my hobbies reflect that. I love to ski, snowboard, hike, camp, go out dancing, play volleyball, and I'm down for pretty much anything because fun can be had anywhere.
I love to travel and have been to Central America, South America, a number of Caribbean locations, Africa, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
If I'm ever staying at your place you can count on me to be chill and easy going. I love adventure so if you have ideas of places for me to check out, or events for me to participate in my ears are wide open. I dig five star resorts and crowded hostels alike. But what's most important to me is to be with locals and learn what they do, what they like, and how they live.
If you're ever staying at my place you can generally just shoot me a text and I'm never too far away to answer questions. In many cases I'll be in the building and able to stop by if needed. Also, if you're looking for any fun in the area just let me know and I'm happy to recommend cool places to check out, great restaurants and bars, and various seasonal events going on.
Being in the hospitality industry for so long makes me kind of obsessed with service and ensuring you have what you need. I'm happy to provide arrival amenities for you as well - in case it's a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary - just let me know and we can chat about what you're looking for and if there is an additional price for it.
