The cottage was amazing. The view from the porch was great! Fully furnished kitchen and it really felt like home. For the price it is definitely worth it, couldn't ask for anything better.
The cottage was everything we asked for. Beautiful property nestled in the country with all the modern amenities. The deck overlooking the lake was absolutely gorgeous at any time of the day! Property and cottage was well maintained with plenty of sleeping space for everyone in our party of 6. Beds are comfy and warm and there was even a bed for our pup! Loved the private little beach area with the canoes and kayaks....just a short 5 min walk down the hill. And the tarts at the pies at the local bakery Sheila recommended is DEFINITELY worth a try - they were absolutely to die for! Sheila was quick to respond with answers to our questions, very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much :)
Sheila was a great host, she was wonderful to communicate with, and bent-over-backwards to assist in other aspects of our trip! The cottage nicely accomodated our family of 8 and 2 dogs. We found the kitchen to be nicely equipped, the views of the lake were wonderful, and the private beach got lots of use. The walk-in lake couldn't have been more perfect for our dogs and we got lots of use out of the kayaks.
Very well-equipped cottage that provided a great family weekend.
Great communication made booking the cottage and preparing for the trip very easy; great tips for a pitstop in port carling and especially paddling to the "cliffs" for rock jumping into the lake; wonderful that our dog was welcome and that only a three night minimum is required for those of us who can't take a full week off; sucker lake quiet and lovely; little bit of a walk from the house to the private beach, but views from the back deck over the lake spectacular; modern kitchen a plus; very comfortable beds; very spacious; absolutely great that guests may use the three kayaks and the canoe... very accomodating host... thx for a great weekend!
Sheila made booking her cottage a breeze, she answered all questions in a timely manner. We booked a weekend in June for a party of 7 ( 1 toddler included) and everyone agreed hands down it was one of our best weekends ever! The home is emaculate, it was clean and had so much room for even more people. The kitchen is updated( as female this is an A++) and the living room has nice rustic finishes. The pièce de résistance is the deck.....huge with breath taking views of the lake.Even though we brought our own gas bottle for the BBQ , there was an extra full bottle on the deck provided by Sheila , there were also life jackets for everyone including my 3 year old; these were the little things that makes Sheila's cottage a great place to book. The private lake access was a short walk from the cottage with a canoes, boats, and enough lounge chairs so you absolutely do not have to drive three hours with a canoe on-top of your vehicle:) We did some swimming, rowed and explored the lake and a little island. It was magical. Looking forward to going back next year.
p.s. There is also a general store and LCBO a few minutes away, basically you can just drive up without having to pack like there is a zombie outbreak.
Sheila was great, and the cottage was even better than advertised!
We had a lovely time + will definitely be looking to stay there again in the future.
