Located in the center of the Belmont restaurant corridor, 4 blocks from 12th South and all its great offerings, and 10 minutes from downtown, this roomy cottage accommodates 4 comfortably, with the option of more if you love to cuddle or couch.
This is the part where we say things like 'Charming bungalow' and 'Midcentury modern' and 'a host of amenities to suit your every fancy,' right?
Ok, I guess we *could* do that too. But we kind of want to try a different approach. We want to tell you a story.
There are soooo many really great places to stay in this city, but we are fairly certain that we have created one of the best. We want to live here ourselves - which is why we're just a couple blocks south.
We stumbled across this little house with two bedrooms, two porches, the brightest bathroom in Belmont, and a vintage checkered floor that smacks of mid-century legitimacy.
We have gussied it up, and now we're so excited to offer it to you, the Nashville traveler. We have put a ton of love, time, calories and resources into this project, making it the sort of place we'd like to stay.
We found some replica Herman Miller Eames Shell Chairs. We painted. And painted. We rented a floor buffer to whip the floor back into shape. We moved the lighting around, added a fan, and installed smoke detectors! We scored a sweet piece of Acacia wood chopping block for the countertop, sourced the vintage sink & cabinet at a local yardsale, and had to learn about televisions. Oh, and we even built the TV wall mount hinge from scratch.
We've been to The Home Depot so many times they're starting to know our names. (And we think they're noticing that one of us is wearing the same 'work shirt' pretty much every time....)
We've found some really great stuff all over this darling city, and we've created a curated space that we hope feels like home with a twist.
We even scored some wine at Trader Joe's in North Carolina, and we've donated that to the cause. (Please drink responsibly.)
And, last but not least, the *real* reason we chose *this* particular 'charming bungalow' is the location. You can walk out the door and in under 45 seconds, be at 4 restaurants, a coffee shop, Belmont University, a bus stop, a vintage shop and a stylist. It's incredibly convenient. Even the parking is awesome - you have a dozen or so spots to choose from!
We are nearby, and very flexible, so if there is any amenity you wish you had, any kitchen contraption you need, anything that's missing or wanted, we'll come to your rescue!
You get the kitchenette which we've stocked with a host of handy kitchen gadgetry. You get the sweet restaurant table which we purloined from a neighborhood restaurant, and then aggressively refinished by hand. You get the comfy couch, the posh lighting, the THREE smoke detectors, and an air conditioner that cools the place like it's his job. (It is, he has no other job.)
Everything. Even the unfinished utility closet with the washer & dryer. The only thing you don't have access to is an oven, basically. (But if you *really* need to do some emergency baking, you're welcome to stop by our home - but you must share the cookies.)
There's lots of off street parking available on all sides of the house and the gravel parking lot directly beside the house free for all.
Interaction with Guests
We're not on-site, so you have the whole place to yourself. We're just up the street, and we work from home, so we're available for whatever you need, should a need arise.
This is the best spot in the most walkable place on earth. In 30 seconds, you can be at anywhere! Literally, you can walk out your door and be at 4 *really good* restaurants in under a minute, and another minute brings you to some cheap eats that should not be ignored. I can personally recommend four of them - and I'm sure the rest aren't bad either, I just stick to my favorites.
Public transit is very handy. There's a bus stop out the front door, and Uber/Lyft are in the neighborhood most of the time.
We are a 7-15 minute and approximately $8 ride to Downtown/Lower Broadway.
We're also walkable to 3 amazing neighborhoods: Belmont - the one out your front door, 12th South - a few blocks away has tons of restaurants, vintage shops, coffee houses, cafes, and a park, and Hillsboro Village - a quaint little road with shops, food, coffee, and pancakes.
If you do leave stains and/or marks on sheets, towels, couch, walls…(anything, really) we'll ask you to pay for it with a simple little transaction through Airbnb shortly after you leave.
If you have pets please let us know, and please keep them off the furniture. If you have a bad shedder, sweep.
Smoking is best done on one of the porches. If you smoke in the house, we'll have to charge you a de-smokifying fee.
Please keep the noise at a maximum - you have no nearby neighbors to bother, so go crazy!
Please jump on the beds - they love that! No, seriously, don't jump on the beds.
Oh, and please be gentle with the paint - we painted this place and came to the bitter realization that we are not painters, and we don't intend to repeat the procedure. Like, ever.
This bungalow was the perfect house for my daughter and I to enjoy our first visit to Nashville. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, yet close enough to get there quickly with a short drive, it provided the perfect base camp for us. Our hosts were responsive to our communications, yet never intrusive. The space was very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the front porch table and chairs as the weather was ideal. Good postings on the bulletin board for good places to grab a bite...Blvd was great and only 50 yards away!
Another wonderful stay at the Belmont Bungalow! Many thanks to Shayna and Levi for their continued hospitality.
Levi and Shayna are great hosts - really sweet people, there immediately when you need them with help, advice, or to fix anything that breaks.
The Bungalow is in a great location - walking distance to 12 South, Hillsboro Village, and Belmont and Vanderbilt campuses.
We stayed in the Bungalow for a month with our two small children and left with smiles on our faces and only good things to say about it.
Perfect place near Belmont. The pictures depict it well, but don't fully do it justice! The hosts were incredibly accommodating and communicated well, even met us at check in to make sure we didn't slip on the ice that accumulated during Nashville's recent storm. Will be reserving again for my next visit!
Shayna and Ari were excellent hosts. Prior to our visit, Shayna provided a lot of good advice about restaurants, attractions and our itinerary. Nashville had a cold spell during our stay and she arranged to have extra blankets dropped off even though she was out of town. She was very flexible on check in and check out which we appreciated given varying flight arrivals and departures. The home is in a perfect location -- much within walking distance, easy drive or uber to downtown and Broadway areas. Very clean. It was a little tight for 5 adults in terms of seating area n
I wholeheartedly recommend this house! The house was adorable (and just as advertised), check-in and check-out and communication were easy as could be, the hosts contacted us to confirm all was well halfway through our stay. Also, the neighborhood has plenty of food and coffee nearby.
This was our first experience using Airbnb. Levi and Shayna made this a wonderful experience. They responded immediately. They quickly answered all of our questions. All of the details were perfectly mapped out, from finding their home, to recommendations for local restaurants etc. This home exceeded our expectations! It was in a terrific location, (close to Belmont University) Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated,wi-fi, everything you could possibly want for a trip to Nashville. I can not wait to return! Thank you Levi and Shayna for sharing your home with us!

Oh, golly. Hi! We're Levi & Shayna Wiggins in Nashville, TN. We got roped into the wild world of Airbnb when my dad made a joke that went something like this: "When you move out, we're gonna turn this place into a B&B; when you come home, you can sleep in the barn!" So...I listed his farm on Airbnb & sent him a link. Surprise, you're a B&B! That was a few years back. And when we got to Nashville, we decided to see if we could keep making that same joke.
