I can't express what a pleasant surprise it is when you step into this Riad from the chaotic streets within the Medina. The Riad is really beautiful and calm inside. It is exceptionally quiet and serene as soon as you step though the door; a welcome retreat amongst the chaos of the medina.  On arrival we were greeted by beautiful scents of Jasmine and a pot of traditional Moroccan mint tea. Not only that but the cook went out of her way to cook us a full three course meal, even though we didn't arrive until 11 PM. Pierre and his team really went out of their way to make us feel very welcome and accommodate our wishes throughout our stay. Everything in the Riad is of high quality and is very comfortable and clean. It's two minutes from the main square in the medina which is great for those who like to be in the thick of the action.

What a wonderful stay. Stepping into our home for a few days out of the bustle and noise of the streets following Fatima (housekeeper) was like entering an oasis. Calm, so quiet, gente music playing and a light smell of incense where we sat straight down and were poured mint tea. I'll never forget that initial welcome. The riad is a short walk from the main square but once in the riad we felt like we were miles away from the energy and excitement of the el fna. Excellent, attentive staff. The most delicious food - please send my love to Fatima and thank her for her cooking and looking after us so well.

Pierre was a great host and worked hard to make sure our stay was excellent. The Riad is very close to all the major attractions, yet was on a quiet street. It is well kept and the decor is very nice including the scents you come back to after a long day out. I highly recommend this place.

10/10 on all fronts. This is a beautiful Riad and all the positive reviews on here are 100% accurate – excellent service by Pierre and his team, delicious cooking by Fatima, central location yet completely peaceful. The pictures do not do the Riad justice. Thank you very much for having us!!

I stayed here for a week with my Father and partner, it was a special trip as my Father is Moroccan and this was my partners first visit. In the lead up to our trip, Pierres communication was fantastic with a choice of things to do, excursions and information. We had the option to have Omar the musician play some music on the gembri while we ate Fatima and Zhoras delicious meals. I can't recommend this enough; Omar is a lovely, talented man and my Father loved the nostalgic evening on the terrace. We were told in our Welcome email: "Ahmed, our guardian, will come every evening to light up the riad, candles, the fire place if needed, incense and perfume and water the plants." however, Ahmed did not come back to the Riad after our first day. We were quite disappointed in this as Fatima and Zhora couldn't have been more helpful to us regardless of the 45 degree heat and Ramadan. They are both lovely hard working women who honestly made our week in the Riad. The breakfasts and dinners were unbelievably tasty, without a doubt the best meals we had the whole trip. The wifi is okay, we found out there is only 10GB which ran out very quickly. Save it for contacting home, searching directions, things to do, etc. When is worked it was fast. Bedsheets and towels are all The White Company which was very impressive and comfortable! Extra pillows available too. The whole place is absolutely spotless, possibly the cleanest accommodation I've stayed in. A TV or better wifi to stream videos wouldn't have gone a miss as it's a busy crazy city and sometimes we did just want to chill out at night on the terrace or in the living room. Also a fan for the sitting areas in 45 degrees was needed, we felt restricted to our air-con bedrooms. In general the Riad is very quiet but my Father was woken up a couple of nights to shouting and verbal fighting in the street, I'd advise ear plugs. All in the Riad is perfectly located, clean, spacious and a true value for money. A great traditional Marrakech experience, we would stay again.

Response from Pierre:
HI Amy, Thanks for the compliments and I am glad you had a great time. However I take note of your littles issues here and will remedy them. You should have mentioned you needed the fan, as we have a very powerful one indeed that makes a great difference: its brand is Alaska and trust me it feels like it ;-). I will tell the team to put it out for our next customers. Apologies about Ahmed, with Ramadan and his other work he did find it (physically ) hard to come indeed and hungry at nightfall when he is supposed to come over. He apologises and understands it is important and that guests are expecting him. Although I can understand after a day of physical work during Ramadan without food nor drink the Ftour is needed but it is a question of organisation and he should be coming. He asked me to pass his apologies and I also apologise for him not finding that time to assist you. He usually is very close to customers and comes every evening and it was a disappointment for me that he did not do it. For the WIFI, we have to find indeed a new supplier, since Orange took over Meditel, for the same price, they cut the amount of bandwidth in half; usually we did not re-top it in one month and now it is just failing us. But 10GB in one day was indeed a high usage ;-). The mainstream broadband is always a little nightmare and unreliable in some parts. Thanks again for your visit and hoping to welcome you another time. Kind regards Pierre

We were a group of 4 friends for our first visit to Marrakech, and it was an amazing trip. Pierre's Riad was great, and literally steps away from the main square. All of the major sites within the medina are walkable from the Riad, and you can spend all day and night wandering the souks if you wanted. And believe me, having a quiet, calm resting spot just minutes away from all the noise and activity was priceless. The riad was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Showers and bathrooms were great. Wifi was fast. Pictures are all very accurate. One Bedroom has a full ensuite (shower and bathroom), whereas another Bedroom has just a shower attached. There are 2 other bathrooms in the property on the first and 3rd floors. Fatima and Ahmed were great local resources to have around. Fatima (and her helper) would arrive every morning to prepare an amazing breakfast and check on us and the property. Ahmed was great in leading us from and to our drivers. As English speakers, it was a bit of a struggle initially since both Fatima and Ahmed were better with French. But they were both extremely helpful and friendly and we were still able to communicate all of our needs with them. Pierre was always very responsive through email or messaging apps, and provided great suggestions on day trips, excursions, drivers, and whatever else you would need around town. We walked out day and night to explore the Medina and the local restaurants and shops. We also made an excursion out to the modern part of Marrakech (Gueliz) to see the difference, and truly if your goal is to experience Morocco and traditional Marrakech, I would suggest staying within the Medina. The modern part of town was, well, modern, and felt like most other cities around the world. But the Medina was something else entirely and a truly great experience that was made better with staying at Pierre's Riad.
