The Space

Our historical antique yacht Trica is permanently moored in Lakki Harbor, Leros, she no longer goes to sea, but floats nicely in the marina!
Shopping and swimming are minutes away.
Leros is an authentic Greek island, easy to get around and explore, easy going people and little, why not try something very different for your next holiday in the sun? Leros is a bit out of the way, but worth the trouble to get there!
We have loving cared for Tricia since we acquired her in 2000. Tricia was built in Lieth, Scotland, sailed to Turkey about 25 years ago, and now remains moored in Leros. As we are building a 100% sustainable home on Leros, we live at the building site during the summer, so it is possible to rent Tricia. We are always nearby if you need anything.
Tricia has wonderful decks to lounge on, comfortable seating and pads, and shade covers. There is good swimming right by the marina, or a short bicycle ride away. Many nice tavernas, cafe's, shops and grocery shopping is available in Lakki, where the boat is docked.
For the hotter months, we have large fans to keep you cool.
You will have 2 bicycles to use while you are staying on Tricia.
It is possible to rent inexpensive motorcycles or quadbikes on the island as well as cars. There are many good restaurants in Lakki, Agia Marina, and Pandelli, the other seaside villages are a short drive away, on Leros nothing is more than 20 minutes by car!
The life in a marina is fascinating, with people from all over the world sailing in and out all summer. Walk the docks to see all of the wonderful boats docked in the marina.
A new shower and toilet block has been constructed this year and the facilities are very nice, they are just a short 2 minute walk from the yacht. You will have full use of marina facilities.
Tricia is comprised of a saloon-living room with a DVD player and sterio, galley -kitchen , master double bunk bedroom cabin and single forward berth. There is a toilet on board but we ask that you do not use it is an emergency!
You can wash clothes on the boat or use the marina pay machine.
Tricia is like a small apartment, and very comfortable. Tricia has been our home for 10 years.
There is a lovely cafe overlooking the marina, 3 minutes away.
A public bus makes the rounds of the island about once an hour, you can catch the bus just outside the marina. There are 3 other interesting villages on the island. Leros is 16 chilometers by about 5, a bit like a puzzle piece with many inlets and coves, many with seaside tavenas and great places for swimming and relaxing for the day. Leros is not a heavily touristed island, it could be described as "slow and discreet tourism", it is an authentic Greek Island, not a tourist trap.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Staying aboard Tricia during my stay in Leros was relaxing and comfortable. She's a lovely boat with lots of charm. Her proximity to the marina meant easy access to a spacious shower, laundry facilities and great coffee at the Skipper's Bar.

My hosts, Christy and Michael, made me feel welcome. Periodically, they stopped by the boat to see how I was getting on and they were keen to make sure all was okay. Being very independent themselves, their hosting style is unfussy--perfect for people who just want to do their own thing.

  • I was not able to stay here in the end and despite the listed strict cancellation policy, Christy was very understanding. She seemed like a very sweet, understanding individual. Overall she made the whole process painless and easy.

    Thank you Christy!

  • We had a very enjoyable stay on Tricia, relaxed and laid-back, all sun-specked shade and serenity amidst the bustle. Tricia is a charming old boat which no longer leaves the marina but still sports abundant sailing paraphernalia and bears an unmistakable imprint of the owners' personalities. Our hosts gave us a very warm welcome (gracious!), introduced us to the island (helpful!) and offered us a glimpse into their lives (fascinating!).

Perfect if you're looking for simple pleasures and a home-away-from-home experience.
