Stayed there to attend a wedding with 7 others. House was fantastic, beautiful location and real good value. Couldn't recommend enough.
Alan was an excellent host, with really good communication including tips for what to do around the area. He arranged for Martin to meet us and hand over the keys and introduce us to the house, which was very spacious and clean. The house is in a great spot, on a quiet private road next to a river bend - it had all we needed for a lovely stay, was sad we couldn't stay for longer!
The Fishing Cottage was a last-minute stop during our road trip through Ireland. Alan was wonderful to let us stay for just a single night. We were met with a warm welcome and found everything we needed in the home, located in a nice little neighborhood next to the water. This was a great stay for our large family.
Very nice house and relaxing location close to the water. Good service and helpful information from Alan and Martina.
Great house for big group, great for kids, welcome pack of bread, milk, butter greatly appreciated. Lovely area rented boats and went to crom estate and town. Lots of space and plenty of room for ten people.
If you're looking for the perfect family holiday than look no further, Foalies Bridge offers all you need and more. From the start communication with Alan was spot on, he offered advice about the cottage, gave clear directions and had arranged for us to meet with Martina who looks after the house in his absence. Martina was very flexible with our check-in time and met us in the town and drove us to the cottage. Martina then gave us a quick tour of the cottage and showed us how all amenities worked and gave us some local tips. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and has beautiful views of the lough. It comfortably accommodates eight adults and has a large back garden. To make use of the lough we rented a boat from a neighbour and took the boat into Belturbet and Crom Castle in Fermanagh on Lough Erne. We're already planning our next trip back!
The house in Foalies Bridge is in a lovely peaceful location with a view of the marina out front. The house is spacious and comfortable with lots of room and facilities such as playstation for the kids. Having two separate areas is great, two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs and two double en suites with another sitting room area upstairs works well to separate adults and kids if that's what you want! The kitchen is well equipped but unfortunately the washing machine wasn't working which we needed for wet clothes from kayaking. Martina came straight over but was unable to fix it and Alan did call to see if we wanted a plumber but as we were leaving soon we didn't, but appreciated the quick response. Alan was in touch throughout our trip to see that everything was ok. All in all, its a great house that I would recommend if you have a large group of family or friends. We went to the Marble Arch caves and kayaking on the lake, both great local things to do.
