AUGUST 2009

Hi Tom- We had a great stay!!! Your Apt was very relaxing and the location was perfect. We did walk to Granville Island Market on Fri afternoon. We stopped on the way to make Anniversary dinner reservations at The Watermark. Had lunch at Bridges and walked thru the Market to buy salad fixings and some fresh cherries. Stopped on the way back at a small marina where they sell fish & chips to buy some shrimp from one of the fishermen. Later walked down to the yacht club overlook and beach to watch the sunset.

Sat morning we hit the Starbucks and bakery for breakfast then went down to the beach to people watch. Later walked up the hill to 4th Ave. and did some shopping. Made it to Siegals for the "Montreal Smoked Meat" bagel sandwich for lunch. Headed back home along Cornwall for a nap at the Apt before Anniversary dinner and the play Othello. We had some rain after dinner so ran back to the Apt after dinner to get raingear and the car to drive to Bard.

Sun morning we drove along Marine Dr out to UBC and then went over to Stanley park. Could not access park due to some kind of 15K race? We drove over Lions Gate bridge and went to Lonsdale Quay for brunch and a look around.

Later went back to the Apt for reading and lounging on the deck, and Doug BBQ'd the shrimp on your gas grill. Went to the play Comedy of Errors later that evening.

Mon. morning we hit Flying Fish Cafe for breakfast before driving back to Edmonds. Left about 10:45.

Thanks so much for a lovely place to spend our Anniversary. You live in such a beautiful part of Vancouver. We hope to visit again!! We hope you also enjoyed your time in the States and got a few games of tennis in with your friend!

Sincerely
Karen & Doug Frechin

During my position as Dean of Graduate Studies at the University of British Columbia I had always been intrigued about living and spending time in the Kitsilano neighbourhood. In preparing to leave my position at the university and return home to Australia I had to sell my home and finding Tom’s place on Point Grey Road was a godsend. I loved the apartment along with its wonderful décor as well as the comfortable feeling that it gave me at the end of a long day. Also, Tom’s photographic artwork that decorates the walls of the apartment is very inviting and stimulating. All the amenities were suitable and I was glad to have them. I fell in love with the closeness to the ocean beach and the little pubs, restaurants and shops in the area, all within walking distance of the apartment.

To whom it may concern:

I stayed in Tom Haug's apartment at (phone number hidden) Point Grey Road for the
entire month of August 2011. I had a delightful time. Tom was extremely
attentive to my every need. His apartment was beautifully furnished and
equipped. It is comfortable and in excellent taste, with a charming
little balcony where I spent much of my time. And the location is simply
heavenly, 30 seconds' walk from the sea and just 3 or 4 minutes to the
main part of Kits Beach. It was hard to imagine a happier place to spend
a month. I would be glad to let you know more and can be reached at the
phone number or e-mail address below.

Sincerely yours,

I was a tenant at 2464 Point Grey Road, #202 from the 1st of January, 2012 until the 31st of May, 2012. I enjoyed my stay in the apartment very much. There is plenty of room for your belongings and everything that is necessary is already in the apartment. The sub-landlord was very helpful and I was always able to get in touch with him if needed. The apartment was very warm and cozy and the neighbors were very quiet and there was never a problem in the building. The main hall and the laundry room were always kept clean. It was also very convenient to have a cleaning service come before moving in and after moving out. The location is amazing. The view is very beautiful. The building is near public transportation, various grocery shops, downtown Vancouver and the University. Also, there is a path along the ocean for running and walking.
