The Space

The David Stewart Farm is located in historic Gettysburg, PA. The farmhouse & barn were used as a civil war field hospital immediately after the Battle of Gettysburg. Located 4 miles from the center of town, it's an easy drive to the battlefields, local attractions and local restraurants. Baltimore is about 1 hour away and Washington, DC is 1 1/2 hours.

You will be staying in a large sunny room with a queen-size bed and have your own private bathroom (shower, no tub). The kitchen and family room will be shared with me and my pets - 2 large dogs and 4 cats. (They do have the run of the house so if you are allergic to or afraid of animals, this is probably not the best place for you.) There is a large deck and big backyard (100 acres) for you to hang out if the weather permits. WiFi is available.
I will be your only "living" host, but there are many others who reside with me. They have lived at the farm for many many years, some for hundreds of years. Yes, the house is haunted, but they are all friendly! I have been here for 30 years and have lots of interesting stories that I'd be happy to share with you if you are interested.

I own a fitness center so as my guest you will have a free pass to workout while staying with me.

  • This was my second stay with Stephani. Being at this charming farm house was like being at home with family. Her home is spotless and comfortable, her pets loving and calm and Stephani is very warm and welcoming. I couldn't imagine coming to Gettysburg without staying with her. She has beautiful flower gardens and we were able to relax on her beautiful patio. She had beautiful cut flowers from her garden throughout the house that added to the charm. Thanks Stephani....you are a very wonderful person.

  • Stephani exemplifies the ideal AirBnB host: easygoing, conversational, comforting. Her farmhouse home is an experience onto itself: the trees that sparkle with firefly light at night; her cat that escorts you around her pond during a sunny, breezy morning stroll (and her coffee is good, too). If you are visiting Gettysburg, staying with Stephani is the best way to do it.

  • Stephani and her animals were welcoming, and her house was beautiful. She's super nice, easy going, and genuine. The sprawling, quiet grounds were gorgeous; we came in late and were greeted by a lightshow of fireflies in a tree. Wish we had more time to explore them and hang with Stephani! Thanks again!!

  • We had an AMAZING time with Stephani at her farmhouse. Stephani is so gracious and charming. She has fascinating stories regarding Gettysburg history and also gave us smart advice for local lunch and travel route. I hope to visit her again. Really a magical stay..xo

  • Stephani was a gracious host, ready with information and ideas for attractions in the area. Her home was clean and is in a beautiful country setting but close to all Gettysburg has to offer. It was unexpectedly hot during our stay and we exhausted our supply of clean clothes quickly. Although I asked for directions to the nearest laundromat, Stephani readily allowed us to use her washer/dryer - a blessing!

Her description of her home and her animals was accurate, but I'd like to add that all of the animals were very sweet and friendly! My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this home. Stephani has a busy work schedule, allowing us time to relax and enjoy the property on our own. We spent one full day of "down time" just relaxing around the house and grounds.

Overall, staying here gave our trip to Gettysburg another dimension of historical significance and made it a trip to remember!!

    Thank you, Stephani!

  • The house is a wonderful and comfortable place to stay and Stephani (and her pets) made sure I had a warm welcome. Highly recommended!

  • Stephani has a beautiful farmhouse, which feels historic and modern at the same time. It was extremely peaceful to sleep there compared to a city, and Stephani herself is very friendly. I'd certainly stay there again.

I've lived in Adams County, PA all my life but have traveled to many exciting places on this great planet! I love meeting new people and finding out about their lives and cultures. But returning to my own little piece of paradise is a great ending to any day! I'm an animal lover and have always had (rescued) pets. Currently I share my home with 2 dogs, 4 cats. I am really looking forward to meeting you!
