Our house is a small piece of countryside in the middle of the city. In fact, the neighborhood of St. Nicholas is one of the most charming and characteristic of Florence. The house is located below piazzale Michelangelo and very close to one of the most beautiful churches in Florence: San Miniato.
Our house is two minutes from the embankment, five minutes from Old Bridge, 10 minutes from the Duomo.
From the train station you can easily reach us with the bus 23. In the district, there are very nice and well attended galleries, fine restaurants, bars, night clubs.
This is a quiet neighborhood between the river Arno and the green hills.
In the near by area there is one of the most beautiful gardens with a special view of Florence called garden roses with an interesting permanent exhibition of Folon. We offer a bright room with views of San Miniato, guest bathroom and separate entrance, kitchen and the opportunity to share with us the living space. In the garden there is a beautiful dining table and many corners to relax especially in good weather. We have wireless and there is the possibility to use the washing machine.
if you have your car there is a free parking near our home, at your convenience.
Also lives with us two beautiful and very sweet dogs: Lana and Poldo.
we wait for youuuuuuuuu !!!!
Great location, helpful host, comfortable bed. Edi made us espresso in the mornings, fortifying us for active days walking around Florence, helped us navigate navigate the bus transportation system and recommended an excellent restaurant nearby. Good experience -- would be glad to return. -- John & Ellen
We loved our stay at Edi's house. She has a beautiful back garden and lovely kitchen & living room. We were made welcome and were free to use the kitchen for cooking. The bedroom was small as on the photo but clean. Shampoo, body wash and towels were provided.
The house is located in a local (non-touristic) cultural part of Firenze that is within easy walking distance to the city center and is just down the hill from the beautiful vista of Piazzale Michelangelo. It is clean and safe, and they also have a beautiful private garden for relaxation.
I spent a month in Firenze, and it has exceeded my unreasonably high expectations. Edi is a wonderfully hospitable hostess. She found me when I arrived (because I was lost) and provided me with a map, the comfortable room with private bathroom, and space in the refrigerator. When my Italian improved she was even willing to suffer my poorly constructed sentences.
Thank you Edi and Delphine so much! I will miss you, Poldo, Lana and Firenze tremendously. It was the perfect month and I couldn't have hoped for more. Until next time!
Fabuloso!!!! Edi es muy amable y cariñosa!!! Sus perros una ternura!!! La habitación muy cómoda y tiene todos los servicios! La ubicación excelente muy cerca del puente vecchio!!! Super recomendado!!!
I stayed with Edi for a little over a month, and it was such an awesome time. Edi is so warm and friendly, and made me feel right at home. I'm not usually one for superlatives, but the room was perfect, with everything I needed! The area where she lives is beautiful: if you're a runner like me, definitely try to run in the hills of Arcetri, where you can happen upon pheasants and sweeping vistas and olive groves. As my first time using AirBNB, Edi has set the bar impossibly high -- I can't imagine any way the stay could have been better! Her two dogs, by the way, are adorable. I wish I could go back!
Edi was extremely welcoming to me and my friend when we arrived at her lovely house, making us feel right at home. The room was ideal for us as we were only in Florence for a few days, and we had use of our own bathroom which again was great. Edi set out a breakfast for us both mornings we were there. She has a lovely home, with a friendly dog. Location-wise, this was perfect, only a short walk from Ponte Vecchio and The Uffizi. Sadly we were too busy exploring Florence to get to spend any real time with Edi. But when I return to Florence I would definitely stay again!
We stayed quite a long time with Edi, five weeks. Let us tell: this place is a gem!! may it be for short or long you definitely will feel good and welcomed in the house! being in florence over the busy christmas period we always felt at ease and happy coming back to our retreat. edi and her housemate are lovely, generous and just the right amount of being around! and lets not forget the super dogs, poldo and lana! as we were there in winter wi didn't get the chance to hang around in the garden so much, but it's definitely a great plus! don't hesitate: book this place if you want to have a good time in florence!
