Francesca's studio was a perfect little home away from home for a few days in Boston. Thanks!
Francesca's place was clean, reasonably sized, and fairly convenient. Essentially equidistant from Davis or Porter, it's slightly over a mile to get to either. The place was inviting when I arrived, and she was very communicative about how I could get the keys since we weren't meeting in person. The parking was on street, but this wasn't an issue at all as there was always plenty of it. There's a convenience store and a Dunks both within a 5 minute walk for quick supplies.
I'm a local, so I didn't really need much of a hands-on touch, and Francesca appeared to pick up on that. She made herself as available as I needed, which was appreciated.
The place is awesome! Cosy apartment in a quite area. Highly suggested!
Sadly Francesca was ill, so we never met her. We dealt by phone with her boyfriend who told us how to get into the apartment. The apartment was as described and in the photo. It provided a useful base for our time in Boston, but some written information in the apartment about the whereabouts of local shops, buses, restaurants would have been helpful.
Nice location, a 20 minute walk from Davis Square. There is a bike trail connecting the apartment to main center of town. The apartment is a bit meager for $200 a night, and it's not exactly in the center of town. Francesca provided clear and detailed directions for accessing the apartment, and all amenities for a comfortable stay were provided. We did have to launder one of the towels ourself but Francesca left quarters in order to do so, however there was not enough quarters to also dry.
The studio was clean and well equipped and convenient to restaurants and bus lines. Francesca was patient about fixing an internet connection problem, provided good instructions on obtaining and leaving keys, and overall we enjoyed staying at the studio. The main negatives were that there was not a lot of natural light in the kitchen, and at one point Francesca came unannounced to wait for a package in the apartment which was a bit awkward. We would have preferred warning so we could clean up our chaotic luggage.
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
