Great place that the Francesca has clearly cared for. Liked the neighborhood quite a bit.
Our experience with Francesca has been great!
We were arriving in the late evening and she didn't have any trouble adapting to our schedule for the check-in. In fact, our flight was delayed several hours and, when contacting her and her boyfriend (he was going to show us the place), they didn't have any trouble accommodating us and finding a way that would be great for everyone to get into the apartment despite getting to the place past midnight.
Also, the itinerary provided after the booking is great, it really helped us find the place and give the right directions to the taxi driver so we could stop right in front of the door. Do follow them!
The place is cozy, nice and clean. It does have nice light in the morning and, though it might seem small, it has everything you need for a couple days in Boston.
We basically walked around the city during our short visit, so we only took the T once to go back home. Davis Sq Station (Red Line) is about 15-20min away walking, it's an easy walk (impossible to get lost!). According to GMaps there is at least some buses stoping close by, so transport won't be an issue to get downtown.
Great experience, I fully recommend them!
We really liked the apartment in Somerville. It was easy to get around and there were some great places to eat. Francesca was out of town, but her boyfriend Greg was great at giving us the info. For our first time using air bnb, it was a great experience and we would do it again.
The apartment was very clean and cosy, it was quiet at night so we got some good sleep. The neighbourhood was frendly so you can walk there at night if needed.
The only problem it had is its location. The subway was not in walking distance, so the only way you could get to the city was with a taxi or hop on the bus. I recomend taking a taxi to David square where you can find the transit and also some good restaurants and bars, from there just take a red line to where ever you want.
Clean, comfortable and a very accessible host. My son and I were in Boston for Harvard football camp and Francesca's place for perfect for us with proximity to Harvard Tufts and MIT. I would highly recommend Francesca's to anyone looking for a cost effective and comforts bel accommodation in the "triangle" of higher learning.
Great, quiet place. Twenty minute walk to the red line (half of which is through A nice park area). Definitely recommend taking public transportation when staying there because it is a few minutes outside of the city and taxi rides add up quickly! I could be wrong, but we thought the lighting in the sink portion of the bathroom was out (there's a door separating it from the bath section). This was a little inconvenient but other than that everything was great. Francesca was helpful and walked through the apartment with me over the phone so I knew where everything was. Loved our time exploring the freedom trail and going to a Red Sox Yankees game!
Great place. Comfortable, quiet, clean. Francesca was very kind and communicative.
