Our spectacular first floor apartment is in a stunning location and only very recently fully refurbished throughout to a very high standard. With a private, full width, south-facing balcony there is a truly special view over Westbourne Terrace.

The space

This is a spectacular first floor apartment in a stunning location only recently fully refurbished throughout to a very high standard. With a private, full width, south-facing balcony there is a really special view over Westbourne Terrace. The balcony provides ample room for the table and seating for 4 people - Ideal for al-fresco dining or just a lovely way to sip the morning coffee whilst soaking up the sounds of the city.

Entrance is via the grand pillared entrance - The locked front door leads into the clean and carpeted stairway up to the apartment. Another locked door leads into the hallway with doors through to bedroom 1 (with ensuite), bedroom 2, family shower room and Lounge/Kitchen. The apartment has that classical look of a building dating from 1840 with 3.5 metre / 11 ft 6 inch high ceilings and wooden floors throughout. Additionally there is a mezzanine area above the kitchen which is home to the 3rd bedroom with a king size double bed (note, this room has a low ceiling height of 5 feet).

The clean decor with chrome fittings, luxury wooden flooring and beautiful decorative and designer touches like the stainless steel architectural staircase complete this lovingly warm and modern interior.

The apartment can comfortably sleep 5 adults in beds with a maximum of 6 by utilising the pull-out sofa bed. There is also a travel cot which can be used in any of the rooms (linen for the cot can be provided on request).

We personally greet all of our guests at the front door on arrival and aim to meet you again to bid you farewell. You will have 3 numbers for 24/7 help and advice with anything from booking a taxi to finding tickets for the Opera!

Other things to note

The Heathrow Express train will bring you from Heathrow to Paddington in less than 20 minutes and the apartment is only 5 minutes walk from Paddington!

Clean linens on the beds. Fans were helpful to cool down at night. There were dead plants on the deck, could not figure out appliances...written instructions would be helpful. Also, ran out of hot water, so make sure to take short showers.

Enjoyed stay in Paddington area. Unit was generally as described outside of a few hiccups checking into unit and having unit ready for us (beds made, cable working, etc.). Paddington area is very convenient....great proximity to transportation (Heathrow train, the tube, and buses). Enjoyed walking in Hyde park every day (beautiful) and lovely cafes throughout the park. Some good food options in Paddington as well and other walkable bordering areas. Our first trip to London was a fantastic experience and we plan to be back soon.

This is a lovely apartment that's very convenient to Paddington, the Heathrow express, and a short walk from Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. The kitchen was simple and spare, but for breakfast each morning it was just what we needed. We enjoyed our stay very much!

This is a very cozy, bright flat in a great location, with tall windows and a little balcony you could sit out on. We were there a week and really enjoyed ourselves. With just a short walk to Hyde park and nearby Paddington station and lots of different bus routes, we could get all over the city easily. The flat was clean and ready for us at shortly after noon when we arrived. There is a queen bed in one bedroom and single bed in the other. The loft bedroom had a double bed and was great for my teenage daughter and her friend, but the stairs are quite steep, so it would be difficult for anyone with any mobility problems. Having 2 full baths for the 5 of us was great (particularly with teenagers ;-).

We really enjoyed our six day stay at this flat. It was comfortable enough for the seven of us (the kids did share beds). We did not spend a lot of time in the flat because we were out on day trips every day. The location is great due to its proximity to public transportation. Paddington station is just a short walk away and several bus routes are also nearby. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we return to London.

You just can't beat the location of this flat! It's only three blocks to the Paddington train station (w/Heathrow Express), and the Paddington Underground -- your connection to all the sights of London -- is even closer. The flat is located in a beautiful, historic stretch of buildings with floor-to-ceiling windows, and includes a balcony. Down the street in either direction are great coffee shops, an Italian restaurant with delicious pizza, and hotels that served as convenient pick-up spots for Bath/Stonehenge tours. Despite being around the corner from a busy street, it was surprisingly quiet in the flat and it felt like a safe area. The flat was comfortable, but not fancy -- it was ideal for our family of four (husband/wife in master; 23-year-old son in second bedroom; 15-year old in the loft...she lobbied hard to stay there and didn't mind the low ceilings one bit). It was a little tough getting the temperature of the flat just (URL HIDDEN) times it was cold, but then it got too warm at certain points. Just packing slippers and a robe would have made my own stay a little more comfortable, but we were really in the flat mostly to sleep, so the temperature wasn't a big deal! All in all, it was a super place to stay, and I'd rent it again.

This flat in the Paddington neighborhood is an absolutely perfect location for exploring London. It's blocks from Hyde Park - which we walked through several times to visit the Kensington Palace, walk to shops on High Street and to take the kids to play at the Princess Diana's wonderful memorial playground. The park is a gem and a great escape from the hustle of the city. Paddington Station was perfect to be so close to. We took the Heathrow Express from the airport and in less then 20 minutes we had arrived from the airport to the flat. The station is also a main hub and proved to be ideal for exploring all burrows of the city. We enjoyed Bizzaro's - the little Italian restaurant just around the corner. It was a perfect stopping point for food after a long day exploring. The space was perfectly laid out - three beds and two bathrooms is quite a treat and a good layout for our family. Check-in was smooth and our host met us exactly as planned. Some things could have been a bit cleaner but overall it was just as presented on the listing.

I love finding hidden gems in London... last weekend we discovered the best falafel wrap from a little stall on Golborne road (close to Portobello Road).. Mouthwatering (and actually not at all un-healthy!).
Whether its an off the wall indie coffee shop with a magical secret blend or a new exhibition at one of the amazing museums, there is just so much going on here it makes it a truly exciting place to be.

We have been hosting holiday-makers from all over the world for more than 5 years now and pride ourselves on the qualty of our homes and of our service (always with a smile and we like to think we are as accommodating as humanly possible).

We live in the same area as all of our properties and are bringing up our 2 children here. We love what we do and the fact that it gives us more time together as a family is a huge bonus.

If I'm not in London, I'm probably in the heart of mid-Wales, getting some mud on my boots and enjoying the lack of traffic and parking meters :)
