Other Things to Note
A variety of explanations account for the origin of the hamlet's name. One explanation associates it with a murder which took place in 1904 at a dairy farm situated on the flats of the Bow River. Francois Marret stood trial in Calgary for killing his brother Jean, whose body he had disposed of in the Bow River, but the jury acquitted him by reason of insanity. Another account states that two or three First Nations people who were illegally trapping beaver noticed a warden approaching in the distance. Knowing that they did not have time to flee without being spotted, they smeared themselves with beaver blood and pretended to be dead. The warden, fooled by their deception, ran for help. Meanwhile the trappers took their beaver pelts and escaped. This account is regarded as dubious; for example, no known description of this incident appears in the official wardens' reports.

Clean and great location. The Canadian Rockies are beautiful but you need to drive to all tourist locations. the location of the condo was an east on/off from the highway in a quiet neighborhood. All services supermarket, restaurants, and shops are a 10 minute drive to Canmore. I would highly recommend staying with Makhbool at the Rocky Mountain getaway.
The condo was beautiful and looks exactly as in picture. We stayed for a night and truly enjoyed staying at Makhbools place. The instructions provided by Makhbool to get to and access the condo were excellent.
What a gorgious place! Location is good to visit Banff park. It is in a really small town but an rasy 5-10 min drive to Cannmore wich is a nice bigger town. Loved the barbecue and the outdoor jacuzzi! Communication was smooth, so was the arrival and checkout. Clean and spacious place. Thank you for a great time!
We had a great experience with Makhbool! He provided detailed instructions on how to check in and access the property prior to our arrival. The property was very clean, updated, and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much!
We had a lovely stay in this quiet condo just off the beaten path. The unit is clean and appointed with just what one needs for a comfortable stay. Stylishly decorated, near the hot tub, with quick access to Canmore, Banff and the trails beyond, this condo offers the comforts of home at a noticeable discount compared to what one might spend in Banff. The sanctioned quiet hours of the community ensure uninterrupted vacation days. Our host was promptly attentive to our questions and needs and kindly brought a new coffee machine (as well as delicious pastries) when he learned the machine in the condo was broken. Thanks again!!
Makhbool does a great job of staying in contact to make sure all is well, and all was. a very comfy bed, condo is well appointed.
