Fantastic home! The location cannot be beat, right next to the beach and so close to Golden Gate park, the zoo, restaurants, etc. The home has everything you need, and Tim is a wonderful and friendly host. We loved the breakfast set, the cute backyard, the passes to local attractions (saved our family of 6 so much money!), the radiant heated floors, the small grocery store right down the street - so many amenities that made our stay just perfect and allowed us to feel like locals for the 3 days we stayed there!
Thank you so much, Tim! People like you and homes like yours are exactly the reason I love Airbnb. I'd love to be back..
This was a terrific home away from home in San Francisco for me, my husband, my 3 daughters, and our nanny. The flat was well-appointed and in a great location - close to the beach and Golden Gate Park, in a cute neighborhood with a nice cafe nearby and the Muni line just a block away. The flat was spacious and had everything we needed and then some. Tim and his family made us feel welcome, including sharing their eggs and leaving us bread, butter, and coffee (and soap and shampoo!). The chickens in the backyard were an added bonus, as my daughters love them. If we get lucky enough to come back to SF again, we would absolutely come back.
The flat was spacious and exactly what we needed for our five day stay in San Francisco. It is much larger than it appears on the photos. The kitchen was very well equipped with all thinkable necessities and we could easily prepare meals. There were plenty of extra bed linen and towels.
The flat is located in a charming peaceful neighbourhood where it is quite easy to find parking for the car. Restaurants and grocery stores are to be found nearby.
Tim has been very quick to answer all our questions before and during our stay. I highly recommend the flat and Tim as a host!
Tim was a great host.
He was very uncomplicated and nice to talk to, had a lot of great recommendations and even offered us coffee and breakfast. It was a really great experience for the 6 of us and we would gladly come again.
We loved it! Thanks so much Tim!
Great place to stay! Host responded to messages/questions very quickly.
This house makes us feel like home. We came all the way from Thailand, 15-hour in flight, expected a real comfy bed for long deep sleep. And this house does not let us down, it is much more cozy than what we see from the pictures. All facilities are settled, we all are so happy with everything here especially the bathtub where we could spend time soaking in the warm water after a cold day outside. One thing that our family feels so thankful is the kitchen because we always love cooking at home. All the kitchenware is well prepared, mom is very happy with this:) The only thing missing here is the mirror for final checking our look before going out haha This might sound silly but I supposed it's quite important for girls like us.
Well, we really had a great timing living in this house for 6 nights. For family stay, we highly recommend this for your consideration. San Francisco is even more livable when you have a "home" to stay:)
We came into town for a wedding and wanted a quiet yet central headquarters for our multi-generational group. This apartment fit our needs well.
First I have to point out that because the ceilings are so high, the photos here under-represent the spaciousness of the apartment. Also, the bunk beds still have a good head space because of the height. Both bedrooms have ample closet space to unload and organize your stuff.
For the older guests with arthritis, the stand-up shower with two-in-one showerhead (wallmount and flex hose) was very convenient. For the kids, the fancy slipper bath off the master suite also had a fun "phone" shower hose for efficient rinsing. And having two bathrooms is very important with a group our size!
The full-size kitchen helped us economize, and cater to our little ones' dietary and sleep schedules, making the tough time-zone change a little easier.
The rooms are very well sound-proofed from each other; we were able to let the kids nap and still enjoy grown-up conversations around the large dinner table. The TV/couch nook was on the other extreme of the main room from the kitchen/dining area, which made it easy to separate activities. That the apartment was ground-floor level was helpful too, all around.
We rented a car because of mobility issues in our group and (with some guidance from Tim) we had no problem parking nearby at night. This ease may have been weather-related, since we visited at a time when few people were flocking to the beach. Speaking of which, the stunning view of the Pacific is just a couple of blocks away, as is the Murphy Windmill in Golden Gate Park. The Beach Chalet restaurant and brewery, also in the Park overseeing the ocean, is less than a mile away.
If you opt to use public transportation, the N Judah line is close enough that you can pop into downtown easily, and far enough that you don't hear the traffic!
The last visit we made into San Fransisco, we also stayed in the Outer Sunset and fully PT'ed it, even with little kids. It is a quiet and convenient little pocket of the city, and this apartment is a cozy place to start your next adventures.
Tim was a kind and thoughtful host, quickly responding to any inquiries and anticipating our needs - thanks for the coffee, the museum passes, and the fresh eggs!
Thank you so much for your detailed review. I will point out in my listing that the ceilings are 10” high. Thanks for pointing this out! I am so happy that I spent the extra money to sound proof the walls and ceilings. :) You were super guests and we really enjoyed you staying with us. You have a lovely family and we hope you come back and stay with us on your next visit to San Francisco!
