Interaction with Guests
I live in the apartment. I work during the day, but not at weekends so I am in most evenings and weekends and would be delighted with your company if you are in the apartment. I am only too pleased to discuss and suggest what to see and do for your stay in Dublin, and hopefully add a little historical knowledge along the way!
The apartment is located in the "Old City" area of Temple Bar, (the part that is near enough to access the most famous, liveliest, part of town and yet just far enough away to be peaceful!)
The entire city is right on your doorstep. Most of the major attractions in Dublin are within easy walking distance; with Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral, the River Liffey and Dublina only metres away.
As well as all the attractions you are surrounded by hundreds of restaurants and bars to suit every taste and pocket.
Dublin is a great city, with so much to be explored and discovered - and this is your perfect starting point!
The apartment is situated directly at one of the main bus stops for the AirLink bus which serves Dublin Airport.
The two major City Bus Tours have stops directly outside the apartment complex.
All major bus routes either run past or are within easy walking distance of the apartment.
Trams and trains (local and national) are also in walking distance.
And the apartment sits between two Dublin Bike stops where guests can hire bicycles to travel around the city.
Other Things to Note
I employ a flexible checking in and out to enable guests come and depart at times most suitable for them - however, this may mean at times the rooms is not always available when a guest arrives and also some guests may be asked to vacate the room earlier than their departure time - but in all cases the apartment will be available to guests.
On booking I will email you precise information about how to get to the apartment and I will be there to met you with the keys and show you around.
This is my home and I welcome guests who respect and take of my home and my belongings as if they were their own.
. There is no smoking anywhere in the apartment, even through the windows.
. The apartment complex's rules require noise to be kept to a minimum from 23hrs onwards, please respect this in the apartment also.
. No unregistered guests are allowed in the apartment.
. No parties.
Accidents happen, so if there are any breakages or damage please let me know immediately.
Thanks a million :)
The best host we have met in Airbnb! Simon is very polite and nice. He gives us advices before our arrival in Dublin. The room is very clean and well equiped (hair dryer, adaptor). We have also a private bathroom. There is a lot informations about tourism in Dublin, good address of restaurant, and a many explications about the name street, irish culture. Simon's flat is very closed to the bus 747 (bus from aiport to city center), we can access to a lot attractions by foot. We highly recommanded Simon.
Go raibh maith agat
I had a fantastic stay in Dublin. The location could not be better. Simon is very organized and everything went like clockwork. Simon is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. 5 stars.
We had a fantastic time in Dublin. Made even better by Simon's 'home from home'. An excellent host. We were even given an umbrella each in case of rain. Perfect location to explore anywhere in Dublin with excellent bus and coach services on the doorstep.
Spotlessly clean , light and airy modern room in a lovely apartment. With our own bathroom too.
We could come an go as we pleased which was good as we had a wedding to attend on the Saturday.
Simon was incredibly helpful.
We couldn't have expected such a lovely host. We could not find a single fault. We just wish we could have stayed for longer then just a long weekend. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Dublin.
My wife and I loved our stay here! Simon was extremely welcoming by meeting us at our bus stop to show us the way to his flat. The room was clean and comfortable. We had the space to ourselves when we wanted, but Simon was great to talk to, and readily available to give suggestions. And the location was truly right in the middle of Temple Bar, a very easy walk to most Dublin attractions, and right by the bus stop for visiting the other sights.
Staying with Simon was a very enjoyable, relaxed and comfortable experience. Simon was very accommodating and gave excellent advice on where to eat and visit. Simon even has a folder prepared with all the ins and outs you need to know about Dublin! Location was fantastic - right in the heart of the city, and excellent coffee shops nearby (being from Melbourne, we know what good coffee is about)! Thanks to a great stay. Cheers!
The Rental: Exactly as described... Comfortable bed/room with ample storage (nightstand, dresser, closets). Great light with 2 windows that open. The private bathroom (not on-suite) was simple and clean. Didn't use the living room or kitchen but both were decent sized and available for use. The host has their own private bedroom and bathroom so no sharing other than the common living spaces. Overall happy with my rental.
The Location: Temple Bar is a great central location in Dublin. It is however a popular late night area. This unit is on the west end but you are still able to hear the night life on busy nights (Fri/Sat) however my stay on Thursday was quiet. Happy with location and you will be too as long as you don't expect complete silence.
The Host: Simon was a great host. Communicative and helpful leading up to the trip. He offered suggestions to getting to the rental from the airport and provided a wonderful welcome binder for his guests. It includes instructions and rules for the rental, recommendations for dining, drinking and shopping, and even some blank forms for other guests to share their recommendations. A+ host!
Overall: Great rental in a great location. Probably not suitable for those wanting quiet time to work but great for holiday.
We had a great stay in Simons appartment. Everything was very clean and exactly as we expected. Simon picked us up at the bus stop and showed us his appartment. We had our own bathroom and bedroom, and shared the livingroom and kitchen with Simon. Simon is also very nice and always wants to have a chat with his guests. The location was perfect, just outside temple bar and close to the shops and other touristic places.
