Interaction with Guests
I live in the apartment. I work during the day, but not at weekends so I am in most evenings and weekends and would be delighted with your company if you are in the apartment. I am only too pleased to discuss and suggest what to see and do for your stay in Dublin, and hopefully add a little historical knowledge along the way!
The apartment is located in the "Old City" area of Temple Bar, (the part that is near enough to access the most famous, liveliest, part of town and yet just far enough away to be peaceful!)
The entire city is right on your doorstep. Most of the major attractions in Dublin are within easy walking distance; with Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral, the River Liffey and Dublina only metres away.
As well as all the attractions you are surrounded by hundreds of restaurants and bars to suit every taste and pocket.
Dublin is a great city, with so much to be explored and discovered - and this is your perfect starting point!
The apartment is situated directly at one of the main bus stops for the AirLink bus which serves Dublin Airport.
The two major City Bus Tours have stops directly outside the apartment complex.
All major bus routes either run past or are within easy walking distance of the apartment.
Trams and trains (local and national) are also in walking distance.
And the apartment sits between two Dublin Bike stops where guests can hire bicycles to travel around the city.
Other Things to Note
I employ a flexible checking in and out to enable guests come and depart at times most suitable for them - however, this may mean at times the rooms is not always available when a guest arrives and also some guests may be asked to vacate the room earlier than their departure time - but in all cases the apartment will be available to guests.
On booking I will email you precise information about how to get to the apartment and I will be there to met you with the keys and show you around.
This is my home and I welcome guests who respect and take of my home and my belongings as if they were their own.
. There is no smoking anywhere in the apartment, even through the windows.
. The apartment complex's rules require noise to be kept to a minimum from 23hrs onwards, please respect this in the apartment also.
. No unregistered guests are allowed in the apartment.
. No parties.
Accidents happen, so if there are any breakages or damage please let me know immediately.
Thanks a million :)
Thank you, Simon for a wonderful first time Air BNB experience! Simon was kind enough to meet us at the bus stop closest to his placd and escort us to his apartment and this was very very early in the morning. He was then kind enough to allow us to keep our luggage while he waited for his previous nights guests to depart. We were then able to start our tour of Dublin. Simon offered up great recommendations and was very accommodating. As we travelled around Dublin, we realized what a gem of a location we had! Simon's place is in the heart of the city and close to Temple Bar, but far enough removed so that you do not hear the crowds. The bells of Christ Church keep you company. The apartment is exactly as it appeared. We were very pleased and would recommend Simon's place to all.
We had a great weekend in Dublin staying at Simon's perfectly located apartment. Even though we didn't see Simon a lot during our stay, everything was prepared for us and we had a great time.
He provided us with lots of information about where to have dinner/drinks/...
The room and our own bathroom were nicely decorated and very clean.
We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back when we visit Dublin in the future.
Simon has been a perfect host! The room was clean and bright and the location is EXCELLENT, right in the centre of Dublin's heart.
This was simply a perfect place for us to stay during our long weekend in Dublin. Simon is an incredibly accommodating host who met me at the bus stop, which is right across the street from his flat. The place itself is perfectly situated on the edge of Temple Bar, close enough to all kinds of nightlife and attractions and yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful at night. Though it is a shared room, we had plenty of privacy and we could visit with Simon if we chose to do so. The bed and pillows were very comfortable --- it was the best nights' sleep we had on our three-week holiday. Simon also provided a very detailed visitors guide with many recommendations for food, drink and sightseeing. All in all, it was better than we could have hoped for and I'd heartily recommend this flat for anyone looking to visit Dublin!
This is the perfect location and Simon was the perfect host. He keeps a really clean apartment and treats you as a family guest. He even shared TV mysteries with me! He provides lots of good information on getting around town and you couldn't be more central. I'll stay there again if I ever make it back to Dublin.
Simon's flat is quite lovely! He was so helpful, even met us at the exact moment we hoped off the bus to greet us and take us to his apartment. The space is lovely and he is charming, very kind. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys being in downtown Dublin.
Staying with Simon was awesome! The location of his place is right in the middle of the action and it's an easy walk to all of the major spots in Dublin. Simon was super friendly and even put together a custom guidebook for his guests! Definitely recommend!
