  • We had a great time. In all honesty, The Teacherage looks a little rough from the outside. There is a need for a good bit of sanding and repainting. Brenda and Graham have only had the place a year or so, and they've put their efforts into the interior. It is beautifully done, with a large living room, dining room and 4 of the 8 bedrooms completed. They are a pleasant and interesting couple, and the BnB is a real plus for the community. As they complete the other 4 bedrooms, and spruce up the exterior, it will be a mansion - with an interesting history. I should note there is no AC in the bedroom, but it was quite comfortable, even cool with just a fan in late June. I would recommend this BnB.

  • Location is great and that is about it. Apartment is nothing special, quite dark. Room on the street side that i was sleeping in is very noisy, imposible to sleep even with the earplugs. Overall it is better than a hostel dorm.

  • The location is good as it is close to a few touristic point of interest. I would not recommend it for spending several weeks though. I spent one month there and the neighborhood is clearly not the best.

I was quite disappointed by the room. The "window" gives on... the corridor and can hardly be opened. The only pieces of furnitures are the bed and one small desk. For your clothes... you'll have to deal with a couple of hooks on the wall, that could work for a few days, that's extremely annoying for a month. That might be ok as well if you have a suitcase but with a backpack that's not optimal. The room was relatively quiet by night though. Also, in summer, it gets really warm in there!

The rest of the apartment is ok. Nice bathroom, the kitchen has the minimum you would need, not more.

So, I would recommend this place for a short stay if you want to visit around the center of the city. Note that the metro is really close and that there are several bus lines going about anywhere close to the house (on the av. cordoba, corrientes or carlos pelegrini).

Other than that, Brenda was nice and helpful when I needed.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Brenda and Graham. They were both incredibly helpful and friendly. The location of the flat is ideal and the flat itself is really beautiful. The only complaint was the noise from the street - with all of the construction around, there more constant cars and buses. However, we would love to stay there again at any time!

  • Fue la mejor elección que pude hacer al haber elegido quedarme en Los Patios de Monserrat. Hicieron mi estancia increíble. Sin duda alguna yo volvería quedarme ahí.

  • When I went to pick up the key, Brenda was angry to me for having two friends with me, neither of which had booked the apartment with me. She said it's strictly forbidden to let anyone else into the building and added that the room is not a hostel. Apart from this our stay was ok. The bed was good and the apartment had adequate supplies for a one-week stay. The floors were not very clean and the balcony had broken glass in it. The WiFi worked well most of the time and the location is great if you want to be downtown. Our biggest problem was that we were two friends renting the room, and we only had one key. That brought on big problems in planning our schedules. Take that into account before you book this apartment.

  • Brenda and Brian are the great hosts. They welcomed us in Patios as in their own home. They recommended us some great local restaurants and the events which were happening around the house. This made our stay even better and we felt more like locals. They always were very helpful and they were patients to reply their questions. They have the computer in the office that guests could use with the Internet...The wifi was quit weak but we could connected everywhere from the lobby and at the end of the day we didn't come to Buenos Aires to surf on net all the day...Thank you Brenda and Brian made our stay so great...!!!! Very recommended place to stay!!!
