John et Siobhan ont été discrets et très attentifs à nos moindres besoins. L'accueil est chaleureux et le cadre idyllique.
John and Siobhan are fantastic, and so is their place. Our stay at Bothy was the highlight of our trip. It is so beautiful and relaxing there. We enjoyed a hike into the beautiful valley and also wandered around the farm down to the river.
Bothy had everything we needed to relax and get away from the noise and rush of the city. The breakfasts were amazing, and having everything served on John's pottery made it that much more special. If we get back to Ireland, we'll plan our trip around this place.
The moust beautiful place I've ever been is John's guesthouse.
We have booked through Airbnb a lot, but this was our favorite! We have been well treated everywhere, but The Bothy is a special place. John and Siobhan are warm and generous people, and so talented! The accommodation is outstanding, the farm-fresh eggs, and homemade bread excellent, and the scenery is stunning. You should know there is no wifi, but why would you want to spend your time looking at a screen with so much outside your door? The selection of books, music, and DVDs is great too. Because this is such a special place, I hope the people who come here are those who can really appreciate it--people who know what really matters in life. If you do, you will love this place.
We had two nights and one very rainy day at the mountain bothy but still had a great stay. Siobhan and John served us a delicious breakfast in their sun room filledwith six foot tomatoes, peppers and eggplants. After breakfast John gave us a tour of his pottery studio and showroom and we selected a few pieces to buy. We enjoyed a walk down to their abundant outdoor vegetable garden and to see the Connemara horses Siobhan trains. We drove a shot distance to Joisie's Restaurant on beautiful Glanmore Lake. After dinner we settled in with a cozy fire in the very comfortable reading chairs and enjoyed the fine library of books and cds in the bothy. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting John and Siobhan and sharing their beautiful mountain retreat.
Spent a glorious few nights at the Bothy! It's a beautifully crafted and designed space, with the comfiest of beds imaginable! John and Siobhan are lovely hosts, and the breakfast is to die for! Eggs from the resident hens ;), and Siobhan makes the most delicious Jam's. We are lucky enough to live not to far from this stunning part of the Beara Peninsula and we will be back!
John and Siobhan were the loveliest of hosts, and they really made our trip a delight. The bothy was immaculately appointed, plus stocked with delicious food from their garden and home. John and Siobhan were gracious hosts, providing fantastic breakfasts in the morning, as well as lively conversation. The ponies were gentle and curious - five each with unique personalities. Overall, only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.
