Larry was great. I had a last minute request for a place to stay and he got back to me right away. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely coffee K Cup machine. Very private setting. The bathroom was beautiful. It is a little far up the hill, but the view makes it all worthwhile. Larry always got back to me quickly with any question. I would stay here again.
Larry was great and very helpful! The location is fantastic and the apartment is everything you need. Regardless of all that, the view makes this one of the best places I've ever stayed.
The reservation was canceled 163 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Larry made my experience very inviting and relaxing.
The view is incredible and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.
I wish we could have stayed longer!
This will be our go-to spot next time we visit the bay area!
We had a relaxing and comfortable stay in this Berkeley Hills location. If privacy and quiet is what you seek - this is the place. The view is a reward for the drive up the hill. Also, the host was accessible via email and text.
This was our first Air bnb experience & it was a wonderful experience, the home was beautiful & neatly kept. The home had all the amenities & the Temperpedic bed ensures you will get a good night sleep. If you're in the area I definitely recommend this home!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone that's looking for a jaw-dropping, nearly panoramic view of San Francisco Bay. The studio has a private deck with a patio table and chairs and our first evening was spent with a glass of wine and a spectacular view of the sunset.
The studio was well thought out with the comfort of guests in mind. A few nice touches were the memory foam mattress, the board games and tv, the mini fridge and coffee maker, and the beautifully tiled walk-in shower with two shower heads.
The Berkeley Hills can kind of be a maze to maneuver through, but this location wasn't too far from campus. I personally think the winding roads add to the charm of the area and was very happy not to be staying in a cookie-cutter suburban neighborhood.
Larry the host was very nice, accommodating and eager to make sure we were comfortable. He was prompt in responding to any questions we had and info that needed to be exchanged. As my first Airbnb experience, I honestly don't think I could have chosen a better place in Berkley to stay and would love to be invited back again. Thanks Larry!
From Kansas City, I live in Berkeley, CA, and work in Northern California as an ER and hospital doctor.
December 2011, I renovated my lower large studio and bathroom with the intention of making it a great place for guests. I like home improvement projects, and I'm learning I like home decorating as well (getting in touch with my feminine side, I guess). I've been surprised how much I like hosting people--while different from what I do as a doctor, it is taking care of people just the same. And it gives my OCD a nice outlet for compulsive cleaning.
As one can see from the book collection in the room, I love foreign languages and traveling. Getting to know randoms entertains me. I'm trying to work hard now to travel more later. But I did get to go visit a friend in Hong Kong for a week in December.
My toddler daughter lives in Southern California with her mother, and I'm often down to visit them, staying at an airbnb place as often as possible.
I've recently gotten into bicycle riding and running, and am trying to learn to surf, skim board and body board. I like to salsa dance, travel and explore.
