About This Listing
Enjoy a warm welcome in my cosy Victorian terrace house ideally located 30 minutes walk from Bristol City Centre. Make yourself at home with wifi, access to a well equipped kitchen or sun yourself in my south facing garden.
I am well travelled and speak French and Swedish as well as English. I have lots of experience hosting international guests and offer a friendly and welcoming experience in a cosy house in an interesing and lively area of Bristol.
Kitchen, bathroom, garden, washing machine, wifi, books.
Interaction with Guests
As much or as little as required. I am pretty intuitive and can easily establish when guests want to be left alone to do their thing. I will not necessarily be present.
There is a great cycle path on an old railway line that connects Bristol and Bath. Easton contains many interesting food shops, cafes and restaurants and is one of the most tolerant areas in the UK.
Buses and trains although cycling is an excellent way to see the city and easy to do with safety from my house. There is a bike rental shop not too far from my house.
Other Things to Note
Smoking allowed in the garden. The shower is not very powerful. As is often the case in old terraced houses in rainy England, I had some problems with water coming through the coping stones on the roof, whilst this has been repaired, it takes a long time to dry out in the plaster and this is visible in the bathroom.
I work during the week so I wouldn't want people to be playing loud music or partying hard in the house.
We felt very at home straight away in this big room (Very comfortable bed!). Perfect place for us while we set up to find more permanent lodgings. Very good value for money, we highly recommend it !
We enjoyed our stay at Ed's, nice couple and non intrusive. The bedroom was a great size and perfect for me and my boyfriend. It's great having use of the kitchen saving on eating out, but definitely try The Greenbank up the road. All in all a nice stay :)
We had a pleasant stay - the room was a lovely size, the bed comfortable and we would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
20min busdrive from the towncentre or 8£ taxifare. Except for occasional lovely guitar playing not much heard from Ed or his partner. An introduction into the premises and a 'what is allowed to use in the kitchen' would have been nice.
The room as such was as described, quite spacious and light.
