This of course depends of our availability (please let us know in advance).
We are otherwise available anytime to answer your questions. We have both been in Taipei for many years, and know a significant amount on all the outdoor places around the city, the restaurants… Sylvain is a big fan of Jazz Manouche.

Very nice room, clean and cozy. Convenient transportation, five minutes walk to subway station and 1 minute to bus stop. The host would give you recommendations about your tour around Taipei. Strongly recommended :)
That's nice home , the room is so warm n the roommate is so nice . I lose sth in the house when I leave but the host still help me to find back , what a nice host I ever met !
Hope to go there again ;)
Edouard seems nice. I only met him twice when I checked in, he told me a few extra house rules, and I text he to reset Wifi.
The Apt. is on the 6th floor which I wasn't expected. (I didn't see this info. on description nor reviews by the time I booked this room.) It's not easy to carry a luggage with a carry on suitcase to the top by yourself unless you have someone helping you or have light luggage.
There are 3 bedrooms share 1 shower room. This room is clean, but window screen is broken. I caught 6 mosquitoes the 1st night. It's fine I just closed windows at night.
Overall, I liked the room, but 6 floors is out of my limits. What I learned from this trip is "Ask questions before booking."
We stayed three nights in Edouard's place. We were lucky to be the only ones staying in the place, so the common living area was ours as well. Since there was also no one booked right after us, he also let us stay in the apartment while waiting for our flight. The place is well-kept, and you can really see that he makes an effort to make sure the guests feel welcome. We arrived very late (2am) and saw Edouard cleaning the place. He also gave us a tour of the condo himself, which we greatly appreciated.
The nearest MRT is a five minute walk. Trip to the main city is about 20 mins, but there aren't many people so always got a seat. The room is literally the penthouse though (6th floor of the building) so it's a bit of a hike at the end of your day.
Overall, it was a great experience and will definitely be back.

About the Host, Shan
Castle in the Sky is a team of locals and foreigners who take over the places they really like in management from their owners, and turn them into gorgeous B&Bs.
There is Ed, a French guy who has been living in Taiwan for the past 6 years and who love nothing more than spending a weekend outside of Taipei, hiking, biking, or anywhere near the east coast.
There is Sylvain, a Taiwanese guy who is crazy about Jazz Manouche, gives music classes in the evening, and will often be in Sapho listening to whoever is coming to town to play.
And finaly there is Shan, the crazy designer, who will work metal, leather, fabric, or in this case the colors and style of the houses to get to her vision of beauty.
