ALAMEDA PRINCIPAL 3LOCATIONOur charming and cosy holiday apartment Alameda 3 is located in a perfect enclave for sightseeing around the city of Malaga, being along La Alameda Principal (Main Boulevard), one of the main avenues in the city centre, and where you can find all the city bus stops that will take you from one end of the city to the other. The main streets and plazas of the city are located just a few meters away from the apartment such as Calle Larios, 450 metres away, Plaza de la Constitución, 550 meters away, and Calle Molina Larios, 550 meters away, where the Cathedral of Malaga is located.
Just 900 meters away from apartment Alameda 3 is the Alcazaba, which, along with the Castle of Gilbralfaro and the Roman Theatre constitutes the most important archaeological site of the city. The Roman Theatre is located in Calle Alcazabilla. From here you can get to Plaza de la Merced, where the Picasso route of Malaga commences with Picasso’s Birthplace Museum. This nineteenth century building is where the artist was born and lived until 1884 and it houses original works from his permanent collection and temporary cessions, plus pottery, engravings, illustrated books and personal objects belonging to the painter and his family.

Get to know the gastronomy of the city by visiting local market Mercado de Atarazanas, 350 metres away. The main door to the market belongs to an ancient shipyard dating back the Arabic era. RECOMMENDATIONS IN THE AREAMalaga is the land of skewered sardines, sweet wine and fried anchovies. For some time now, the city has occupied a privileged position in the ranking of the most beautiful cities in Spain. If you have decided to visit one of the most up and coming cities in Europe, do not miss out on what Malaga has to offer. Here are some of our suggestions which we are sure you will love:
Take a romantic evening stroll along Muelle Uno, the new trendy area of Malaga. Have lunch or dinner at El Pimpi, one of the most character taverns in Malaga, located opposite the Roman Theatre. If possible try to go in the evening so that you can enjoy a flamenco show.Have a good local breakfast and try some zurrapa, a pitufo, lomo en manteca or some delicious tejeringos. Accompany your breakfast with one of the several types of coffee prepared in Malaga (nube, corto, sombra…).Take a ride on the Malaga Eye and enjoy the spectacular views from the top. It is the largest temporary wheel in Europe!Experience, at least once, the Feria of Malaga in August. It is one of the best celebrations in Spain.Note:
