Charming one bedroom apartment in Nice Gambetta area. Located in the real Nice, the apartment is within walking distance from the Promenade des Anglais and the beaches, the great farmer market of Avenue de la Liberation, the lively shopping area of Avenue Jean Medecin and the train station. The area has many popular local restaurants (La Cantine d’André, Yummy! ) and shops, even a Casher supermarket and a Celtic stringed-instrument maker!
Tramway, busses and two ‘Velo Bleu’ stations (it is the cheap Nice bike rental system) are 2 minute walking distance and will bring you everywhere in Nice.
This apartment is at the second floor of an amazing art deco Villa renovated in 2011. The living room is furnished with wooden floors, old colorful stained-glass windows, art deco dining table and Internet access. The kitchen is equipped with major appliances and the convenient bathroom contains a bath with shower.
The quiet bedroom has a comfortable double bed. A large closet is available in the corridor. There is a sofa in the living room. Perfectly suitable to discover Nice and its surroundings.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this flat - it was comfortable, cozy and just what we needed.
It's a little way out of town - Nice is bigger than it looked on the map - but the main railway station and nearest tram stops are about a 10 min walk away, and everything we needed for food was just down the road.
This apartment is charming and we loved having the extra room (hard wood floors) for yoga, and private time. It was quiet. The bath was a treat. The beach was further than we expected but it was easy to get there by the tram (8 minute walk). There were many food shops all around and we got to know a few of the owners. We had to extend our stay beyond our original contract - and left the apartment to hotel (one that was very recommended). We missed the apartment and appreciated the beauty that Genevieve has created.
I'm not sure it was worth $60 for cleaning. It wasn't sparkling. We mopped the floors ourselves - to get the place really clean.
We spend 11 days in this lovely apartment and felt immediately at home. The decor is beautiful and at the same time very simple, which makes it very easy to stay in. Everything worked perfect kitchen, bath etc. The neighborhood is really nice, with good shops and a nice market, and at the same time very quiet at night. The distance to the beach and the more touristy part of Nice is perfect. It takes about half an hour to walk to the beach and the tour provides a good opportunity to see the city. Our contact with our host Genevieve was very good, our emails were answered within hours, and we felt very confident renting this apartment. When we hopefully visit Nice again, we would be happy to stay in the apartment again.
Lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Bit of a walk to the seaside but that's why I've got legs. The advantage is that you can tour Nice on your way to the beach if you meander. Close to the tram and a morning fruit and veggie market. Only down side is that it's a bit loud- noise reverberates in the courtyard though to be fair I had windows open.
My name is Genevieve. I am 44. Since 2001, I have a small company, specialized in consumer trends and design. I live and work between Shanghai and Nice. Apart from this, I am a long distance runner, and a theater play writer.
