It is a family house that we rent for long or short periods. The property covers 1000 sqm, and it is located inside a condominium called La Venturosa. It is close to the condominium Farallones and the Real Club. It is very close to the beach, only 3 blocks away.
The house is decorated in a very rustic but cozy style. It’s very calm, ideal for couples, having a relaxing time with the family or for a creative retreat. Other Things to Note
There are three beaches you can access, one that is very big and very calm, and two small beaches which sometimes have medium sized waves. Viviana..and her parents...
were great!! Nice people
What can I say the house is in a good location, very safe not that you'll need to worry about anything. It's very quiet just couple blocks from the beach than you could go for long walks. We saw a family of Dolphins feeding and that was a highlight for us. Also there is a little restaurant by Club Real right on the beach great place for lunch open from 9a to 4p. The house itself is clean, has everything except an automatic coffee maker but it has a French press one so we learned to use it, we enjoyed the patio a lot, played games etc. The two little stores near by had everything that we needed with good prices, for us was no need to go to main boulevard. The hostess Viviana was great! Answer all our questions and concerns, she was always one phone call away. Just bring mosquito repellent like we did. If you need a ride call Sudameris taxi excellent service also recommended by Viviana!!! Thank you again Viviana till next time.
The beach house at Chocalla met all my expectations and I would highly recommend it. It is an old construction, nevertheless it has all the basics just like the pictures show.
Viviana was a great hostess! She helped us with any questions we had and was flexible with the check in/check out times.
As a recommendation, bring some mosquito repellent with you and do not plan to go grocery shopping in Asia, do the shopping in Lima.
Only 15 minutes driving from the Asia boulevard and 2 minutes walking from the beach.
Viviana is a very kind and responsive hostess: We had no problems reaching out to her for information before deciding on this rental. On the day of the check in, her and her parents met us at the house, where we were asked to sign a separate rental contract with Viviana's parents, which had no apparent ramifications. We were very pleased with the area where this house is located: Chocaya is beautiful, with lots of different birds populating the beach: We enjoyed long afternoon walks while bird-watching and exploring the other beaches.
The house is rustic, has a lot of character, and is in the process of being remodeled: The master bathroom is new and very attractive; the second bathroom and the kitchen still need to be redone. The outside is the best part of this house: A large patio with plenty of seating areas, to dine and relax, facing a large grassy front lawn. We did have to go inside the house at dusk, to avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes, and we also had to sleep with the windows closed since there are no screens on the windows. The temperatures were cool during our stay, but this could be a problem during the hotter months.
All in all a very relaxing stay in a beautiful area.
On our end we had trouble with communication because of lack of internet connection while traveling internationally. She was very patient with us and our scattered messaging and made our arrival to the house as smooth and stress free as possible. Getting to the house is a little tricky so Viviana met us on the road and lead us to the house. The house is at it looks in the photos which was quite refreshing. The house comfortably accommodated the six of us. The kitchen has all the essentials pots, pans, utensils..., there are towels, pillows, sheets and bedding. Once we were at the house she got us settled, informed us about the surrounding area, how to get to the beach, and gave us directions to the market. The market is a must if you would like to cook full meals and is quite a treat to experience. It's in the middle of a little busy town and is full of fruits, veggies, meats and anything else you may need. Be careful! If you are not a local you will stick out like a sore thumb and knowing at least some spanish is a must. Once we were settled she left us to enjoy her home, which we did. We were told that the beaches are cleaned often during the summertime but as we visited during the off-season it seemed to be a little dirty for our liking. Either way we took a walk along the beach and headed back to the house. We hung out outside a lot and enjoyed making a fire each night relaxing and talking. The place seems nice and secluded even though there has been a lot of housing developments popping up. All in all we had a great weekend.
