Set in the heart of Sheung Wan area, across from the Sun Yet Sen Memorial Park & swimming pool both looking out over the world famous Victoria Harbor.New eateries & galleries are rejuvenating the traditional neighbourhood showcasing the new&old of HK
This cozy apartment comfortably accommodates a single traveler or a couple visiting Hong Kong. It has a full bathroom that has an enclosed shower with water heater. It has an open kitchen with electric cooker and microwave oven. One comfortable real bed (Not a futon or pullout sofa) that sleeps up to a couple. A wall mounted TV with DVD player and a solid wireless internet connection. But the best thing about this apartment is it's location. It is close to all sorts of transportation that take you to everywhere you would want to go to in Hong Kong. Located on the West side of Hong Kong in the Sheung Wan district, it is 5 minutes walking distance from the Sheung Wan MTR Station and 5 minutes from the foreign friendly district Soho (South of Hollywood Rd). It is only a few stops away from the Central MTR station on the Tram or bus and the neighborhood is super safe and friendly. Also, there is a 7 Eleven convenient store as well as a Laundry Place right around the corner.
**In the past I have borrowed out adapters for FREE to guests as a courtesy and convenience, however, too many have not been returned (over 50) and I can no longer keep up with restocking. Unfortunately, I can't provide these for free but if necessary, will sell them AT COST (@HKD20) instead. Sorry that this gesture failed.

The Sheung Wan neighbourhood is ever changing and a fantastic mix of "old' and "new" Hong Kong. This apartment is located in the heart of Hong Kong's commercial, cultural and shopping districts and within short walking distance to the subway and HK Macau Ferry Pier. A few minutes walk away from the harbour front and the fantastic Sun Yat Sun Memorial Park and Public swimming pool over look the world famous Victoria Harbor.
The Sheung Wan MTR station is but 8 min walking distance away that takes you all over Hong Kong and Kowloon. There are also buses, trams, minibuses that run near the doorstep of the building on Des Voeux Road West Road and take you to every corner of the island and beyond.
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, everything is quite simple and all starts with a call from the FREE phones at the airport located in the hall immediately after you pass through baggage customs. There is also a Visitors Center there if you would like to pick up some maps, local travel guides, etc. to read on your way to the apartment. If you need a local SIM card, there is a 7-11 in the middle section of the main arrival hall where they see all types of SIM cards, I usually prefer the PCCW brand as it is the larges local operator.

I went to HK for the first time and a friend of mine recommended to stay in Brendan's area and I luckily found this lovely apartment. It is very well located in Hong Kong island. If you are a runner like me, you will definitely appreciate the location where you can enjoy a nice run next to the water. I stayed there alone, and for one person it is big enough. The small kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is convenient. Highly recommended.
Clean, safe and comfortable apartment, conveniently located near Central. The apartment had all the facilities for a short holiday. I would recommend Brendan's lodgings. Thank you for making my stay in Hong Kong affordable and comfortable. Brendan was easy to reach and I was provided with clear instructions about the location and use of facilities, which was very helpful.
Host was very organised in his arrangement prior to checking in. He sent constant reminders the weeks leading up to our stay.
However, not having a Hong Kong Sim card, it was pretty hard to get hold of Brendan. We manage to get in touch with Brendan's mum via the public telephones in the airport to arrange a time for someone to take us in. We had to make a second phone call from the building opposite Wilmer building when we arrived to remind Brendan's mum that we were waiting outside the apartment. We waited for a little more than an hour before one of his workers attended to us. The stay was pleasant. It has all the amenities necessary for people travelling on a budget and the cost was fair given how much you pay for accommodation during the peak season in Hong Kong.
The Sheung Wan station and the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal are 10 minute walk away. Sometimes we caught taxis to the Sheung Wan station back to the accommodation because we felt walking late at night could be a little dangerous. Some parts in Sheung Wan seemed poorly lit and extremely quiet past 10pm.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we were really happy with our stay at Brendan's place.
Brendan's apartment was further divided into a couple of small rooms which were rented out. The size will be good enough for a couple with lesser pieces of luggage (we have 2 cabin and 2 cargo bags from our long trip) and it was really quite a squeeze maneuvering around the apartment. It was generally neat and tidy, however the TV wasn't working and no one came to look at it though we were told they would.
My only concern was the safety aspect: rooms seemed to be easily broken into due to a flimsy door knob.
All in all, if you have no concerns abt the above it is an apartment value for money.
We were looking for a place that was near the central area of Hong Kong, at a good budget price and in a safe area. This fits the bill entirely and would happily stay here again!
It's easy to get the tram along to the nearest MTR (or a 10/15 minute walk). We also walked back from Central several times and it did not take too long. There is a laundry round the corner and a 7/11 not too far away. There are also some good restaurants in the immediate area.
The place is small and basic, however the description and pictures are accurate. If you're looking for something deluxe then try somewhere else, but be prepared to be a lot more. Would definitely use this apartment again.
Thanks for letting us use your apartment Brendan.
Great location! Beautifully remodeled bathroom. Convenient to many local shops and eateries! Thanks again, Brendan!
I stayed 16 days in HKG in Oct / Nov 2013. It was long enough to let me think that the apartment was like describe on the web site. Well equiped, small but ok for one or two persons. But apartments in HKG are almost small and this one is ok with a real little kitchen in the main room and a large bed. The shower is large enough. The street is connected directely on the main tramway line, so easy to go in Central and other districts. The district of the apartment is kind of real HKG with lots of activities, so it could be noisy sometimes but it's pleasant also. Brendan was helpfull and really welcoming. I had a great stay in HKG and I will be able to come again and deal a stay with Brendan. Thanks
The studio was so clean I was very impressed. Brendan was very responsive and gave good instructions. Had such a pleasant stay. Thank you!
Everything was easy & well organized
The flat is not very big but great value in Honk Kong, nice location, cosy, perfect for a couple.
I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for clean and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price in HK.
