We painted and swapped out some furniture. Pillow top, firm mattress double bed. This is looking in from doorway.
We are located in beautiful, Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The "C" train (10 minutes to Lower Manhattan) is a 1/2 block from the building. The "G" train (for traveling between Brooklyn & Queens) is 3 blocks away. The stop for both is the Clinton-Washington stop.
At a leisurely pace I am a 15 minute walk from the 2,3,4 & 5 trains and the Brooklyn Museum on Eastern Parkway. About another 5 minutes of walking to Prospect Park. About a 10 minute walk from Fort Greene Park. The same for restaurants, bars and shopping in the area. Short train rides to Manhattan and other wonderful areas of Brooklyn like Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Williamsburg, DUMBO, and Park Slope.
The apartment is clean and comfortable. There is basic cable, high speed DSL internet, a full size galley kitchen with a dishwasher and laundry in the building for $1.50/load. There is also a common roof deck and common backyard in the event you would like to spend a day/evening enjoying some fresh air.
Large closet with shelves that act as your dresser provided for your clothes so you don't have to live out of your suitcase.
Clean sheets and towels provided for your stay.
Brand new building, monthly preventative extermination service.

***My acceptance rate is slightly skewed by the fact I give the first person to contact me about dates the right of first refusal if someone else tries to book with me. I have never turned down a reservation request if the dates were open and not already inquired about.***

Full access to the kitchen, living room and bathroom. Basically all areas of the apartment except our bedroom.
Interaction with Guests
We like to interact with our guests as much or as little as they want to interact with us. We work, but when we can we are happy to chat, have drinks or even share a meal. We want our guests to feel less like guests and more like friends or family.
Within walking distance there are many great restaurants and bars, the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Barclay's Center (Brooklyn Nets, concerts, and soon to be NY Islanders) and easy transportation options.
The "C" train is 1/2 block (about 150 meters) from the apartment and the "G" train is 2 1/2 blocks from the apartment. Easy to get in and out of Manhattan at any time of day.
We would hope you come to NYC, enjoy your stay and tell your friends about the wonderful place you stayed at!
Copy of passport/drivers license required upon check-in. Returned upon check-out.
Please remove shoes when inside the apartment.
No pets. NO SMOKING.
Other than that it's about common courtesy! If you use the kitchen clean up like it was your home, be quiet coming in late or leaving early.
Again, thank you for taking the time to check out this listing!
We had another amazing visit to the city! Chris and Jen are incredibly gracious hosts and have an extremely relaxed style of hosting. This is my second time staying with them and they will continue to be my 1st choice anytime I return to the city. They are both so kind and generous with their space, and we found it very easy to come and go as needed no matter our schedule. Thank you again for helping to make our trip so much fun!
My wife and I had a fantastic time at chris and jenn ' s place . Their place was just as described . They had fantastic eating suggestions. Chris when the brewing time was right a real beer brewer and full of knowledge . Thanks again guys you really made staying with you so comfortable
Chris and Jenn are fantastic hosts! Made us feel very comfortable and at home. Chris gave us a lot of great tips on local restaurants and things to do. Neighborhood is safe and very convenient to the subway line into Manhattan. Room was nice, clean, and bed was comfortable. If you're craving Mexican food check out Xochtil Taqueria. For a local low-key bar check out Hudson dry. Great Atmosphere and friendly people. Overall a 10 out of 10 and a great location to check out Manhattan and Brooklyn! Don't be afraid to explore! New Yorkers are very friendly and helpful!
We had a great time staying with Jenn and Chris. They were very accommodating with check in/ check out times, the flat was great and the room very spacious and comfortable. They were also very friendly and gave is suggestions of local places to check out, including a great local diner. I can really recommend their place if you want to discover Brooklyn (which is a lot of fun!)
I had an awesome stay at Chris and Jenn's. They are both so friendly and we had a lot in common regarding our interests in sustainable food and traveling. Chris was even able to attend an event that my nonprofit, Slow Food USA, put on to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our movement. Their place is new, clean, and conveniently located near the subway (A,C lines).
This was my first airbnb experience, and it could not have been any better. The hosts, Chris and Jenn, were warm and gracious and made me feel right at home. The home was extremely clean and well-organized. The room was quite large for NY (larger than most hotel rooms I've stayed in there). They had a huge closet in the room just for the airbnb guest. The building was really nice, well-lit, well-maintained, and it felt safe. The neighborhood was nice. There were 2 organic juice bars and a great bagel place just around the corner, and best of all, it's only 1/2 block to the subway that takes you right into Manhattan. Overall, it was a 10 out of 10 experience.
Great host, kind and nice. Neighbor hood is convenient in every aspects. The best part of our New York trip.
Easy going, positive, life loving couple with a curiosity about new things. We are interested in the concept of airbnb and think it would be interesting to host people from around the world.
