The Space

This is a warm and inviting apartment in the best East Austin location. Surrounded by trendy bars and restaurants, and a short 5 minute walk to downtown. This apartment is right in the action!

*Please note before booking that this apartment is in a quirky semi-updated turn of the century building*. It's a bit rough around the edges, but if you love a funky, bohemian, cleverly decorated and cozy space then this apartment is for you.

The entire apartment is all yours! You will have absolute privacy at all times, but I live a few blocks away in case you need me for anything.

Close to everything you'll need. Coffee, restaurants, nightlife, etc.

Wifi is included, so bring your laptop. Also, I have an ipod dock in the living room. There is an alarm clock for you to use as well. It also includes all the kitchen basics - coffee pot, french press, kettle, microwave, toaster, stove and oven. Linens are included and extras are also provided. Housekeeping is optional (for a fee).

The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a bold color palate and plush full size bed. The other bedroom has a muted color palate and a firmer full size bed. The living room now also has a twin sized daybed.

The shelves are loaded with books and games in case you want to have a night in, and there's a cozy electric fireplace.

I've stocked the place with coffee and tea and cream. The most awesome Whole Foods in the nation is located on W. 6th St. a nice stroll through downtown away.

I prefer a two night minimum stay, but if you only want to stay for one night - message me and we can work something out.
I also have weekly rates available.

We can also arrange scooter rentals for up to four people or local brewery tours for up to eight.

Bicycle rentals are available from Longhorn Bikes located on E. Cesar Chavez St.
There is a strict four person maximum policy. Check in/out times are flexible. Please message me with arrival and departure times after booking.

Feel free to ask me about great local attractions, bars and restaurants.I love sharing local insider tips about my city. You're going to have a fabulous time in Austin!

SXSW info: You're surrounded by the best that SXSW has to offer. Just a couple of blocks to the Fader Fort and three blocks from downtown. Stay here and you won't have to deal with taxis or buses. Just walk out your front door and you're right in the action!

  • This place was great for what we needed, short walk to downtown, with local trailers nearby, small but comfortable. We were concerned a little about how noisy the place was going to be, but it turned out to be fine.

  • Great location! Like the other reviews say a little rough around the edges as it is an old building- but it was decorated super cute. I would maybe recommend bringing an extra fan with you as it gets pretty hot in there. Overall we had a great time!

  • My friend and I wanted a fun, chill, girl's weekend in Austin and that's what we got! Alexandria's place was cute, cozy and in a great location. We were not able to meet her but she was easy to get in touch with and we had no issues. I would definitely recommend her place to others looking for a good time in Austin.

  • Location location location! Right on 6th, which is littered with amazing food trucks, cocktail bars, dives, comedy, movies and live music. Great host recommendations (gotta check out the Whitehorse and Easy Tiger). She was easy going while being communicative. The bedrooms are spacious enough to sleep two each, or a luxury for alone time during a a tandem road trip. Great deal.

  • It's a cute apartment in a great location. There are nice restaurants/bars around and a great food truck lot just a block or two away. It also isn't very far from downtown Austin, just a few minutes by car if you're feeling tired, but we walked there a few times also. The bed was comfortable, and Alexandria has a nice chalkboard where she has suggestions where to go. Very good host, very accommodating.

  • Great location!!! Very convenient especially to the famous part of sixth street - also has it's own little neighborhood if you don't feel like going far!!

  • Definitely a more charming location than downtown. Alexandria was a great hostess. Very responsive and accommodating. If I head back to Austin, I'll hit her up again!

  • Alexandria's apartment was exactly what we wanted for our long weekend in Austin. It was cute, perfect for two couples and within walking distance of almost all of the places we had scouted to check out during our stay. We loved it!

  • This accommodation was awesome! Perfect location and very comfortable. The whole experience was seamless and our trip was genuinely enjoyable. Alexandria has good taste and it shows in the decor of the apartment.

  • This apartment was absolutely adorable and immediately comfortable! The location, too, really is perfect... we loved being on 6th street, just a short walk from a variety of excellent bars and food trucks. There's ample night life in this neighborhood, but even so we never had an issue with any unruly drunks or late-night noisiness. With the air conditioners running (and oh boy, were we glad to have the air conditioners running) you couldn't hear any street noise at all.

This place was a perfect "home base" during our trip-- small, but well laid out and with everything you could need for a short stay. Even with three of us in the apartment, we never felt crowded or uncomfortable in the space-- the bedrooms are each beautiful and peaceful, with lots of nooks for storing your clothes and bags, and the living room offers plenty of seating. We even took up on the back steps a few times to enjoy the gorgeous Austin weather! That said, though, the wall shelves full of old science fiction novels might have been my favorite feature... I had some serious teenage nostalgia goin' on on those shelves.

Andi was an awesomely responsive and accommodating host, and it's clear she puts a lot of effort into maintaining a comfortable, beautiful, convenience apartment for her AirBNB guests. We were lucky to stay there and would do so again in a heartbeat!
