The space

This is a warm and inviting apartment in the best East Austin location. Surrounded by trendy bars and restaurants, and a short 5 minute walk to downtown. This apartment is right in the action!

*Please note before booking that this apartment is in a quirky semi-updated turn of the century building*. It's a bit rough around the edges, but if you love a funky, bohemian, cleverly decorated and cozy space then this apartment is for you.

The entire apartment is all yours! You will have absolute privacy at all times, but I live a few blocks away in case you need me for anything.

Close to everything you'll need. Coffee, restaurants, nightlife, etc.

Wifi is included, so bring your laptop. It also includes all the kitchen basics - coffee pot, french press, kettle, microwave, toaster, stove and oven. Linens are included and extras are also provided. Housekeeping is optional (for a fee).

The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a bold color palate and plush full size bed. The other bedroom has a muted color palate and a firmer full size bed. The living room now also has a twin sized daybed.

The shelves are loaded with books and games in case you want to have a night in, and there's a cozy electric fireplace.

I've stocked the place with coffee and tea and cream. The most awesome Whole Foods in the nation is located on W. 6th St. a nice stroll through downtown away.

I prefer a two night minimum stay, but if you only want to stay for one night - message me and we can work something out.
I also have weekly rates available.

The city's Bike Rental kiosk is just outside the apartment, so it makes getting around town a breeze.

There is a strict four person maxCheck in/out times are flexible. imum policy. Please message me with arrival and departure times after booking.

Feel free to ask me about great local attractions, bars and restaurants.I love sharing local insider tips about my city. You're going to have a fabulous time in Austin!

SXSW info: You're surrounded by the best that SXSW has to offer. Just a couple of blocks to the Fader Fort and three blocks from downtown. Stay here and you won't have to deal with taxis or buses. Just walk out your front door and you're right in the action!

Great location and a really good space! The decor was nice and homely. The kitchen is very small, would only use to make coffee and toast however heaps of restaurants around! Would definitely stay again.

Everything was exactly as it looked in the pictures! Beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed for our stay! The front door was a little tricky trying to lock but as far as that everything else was amazing! Would definitely recommend/stay here again!

The photos on line do not portray the unit. The furniture had been changed and there was not a full kitchen as the stove had been removed. The shower was not functioning and when the owner was notified she responded that she would send a plumber when we checked out which left us with a non functioning shower. She was slow to respond to emails through the airbnb system. The location was as described but not the apartment.

Be prepared to encounter a whole host of issues when staying here! From dismal shower water pressure and scalding hot water temperatures, to a continually running toilet, limited toilet paper(maybe bring your own), dealing with only one set of keys, a host who will text you and make promises to address your issues but will never follow through, or do so insufficiently. I spent too much time dealing with issues, it made me wish I paid more to stay in a hotel. I would have had better customer service and amenities that worked! Maybe worst airbnb experience I've ever had!

This Airbnb was in the perfect location. We were a stone's throw away from amazing bars, coffee shops, food trucks and restaurants. Honestly we didn't have to leave the neighborhood, but downtown was a quick 10 min walk away too. Checking in and communication with Alexandria was simple and easy. My only call out is the maintenance and cleanliness of the apartment. It's was very dusty and parts of the ceiling was falling into the living room. Also if we were to stay again we would bring our own towels. Despite these issues the experience was a good one and overall I would recommend staying here.
