Marbella is still one of the most untouched beaches and one of the most consistent surf spots on the pacific coast of Costa Rica. This contributes to the fact that you can still find amazing surf with no one out in the water or just enjoy having the beach all for yourself. We offer surf lessons with Yoav and yoga lessons with Cecilia and our guest are welcome to use our yoga shala for personal practice.
We are located 2 hours away from Liberia International Airport. 1 hour from Nosara – Playa Guiones which has an airport for domestic flights and 1 hour from the very touristic beach town of Tamarindo.
Playa Negra, which also offers great waves, is 30 minutes away. The Wildlife Refuge of Ostional is one of the World's most important nesting sites for Olive Ridley Sea Turtles is about 30 minutes away as well
The casita is located on the hills of playa Marbella surrounded by beautiful nature. We are located about 2 km from the small village of Marbella and 5 minutes drive to the beach.
The property is located in a secluded area. Perfect for those who like their space. It is recommended to have a car or motorcycle to get around.
There are a variety of restaurants and few small grocery stores in the area for your convenience.
The casita sleeps 3 people. It has a queen size bed and a single bed. It offers a fully equipped kitchen, hot water, A/C and ceiling fans. The water is filtered and safe to drink.
Cleaning service is available upon request.
Laundry is also available.

Respect your surrounding and enjoy the "PURA VIDA"
Yoav and Cecilia were great hosts. Their casita was everything we wanted - a relaxing and peaceful getaway from NYC. We enjoyed the hammocks every morning and night and even saw monkeys from them. The yoga platform was free for us to use, and we took a class with Cecilia too. You have to be ok with bugs and other critters. They won't bother you, but there was an army of small black ants along the walls inside the casita. The kitchen was simple but had what we needed (we had to buy oil, salt and pepper). Marbella is a tiny town with amazing beaches (Playa San Juanillo was our favorite), and not much else. Make sure you buy groceries (and get anything else you might need - money, beach towels, sunscreen, etc) in Santa Cruz because there isn't much in Marbella. It's mostly dirt roads and hilly, so make sure you rent a 4x4 and get there before the sun sets. We spent four nights here and wished we were there longer! Can't wait to come back.
We were given excellent driving directions, and welcomed right away by Cecilia when we arrived. Yoav advised us to buy groceries in one of the towns on our way, and we were glad he suggested this because we didn't find stores in or around Marbella.
The casita had everything we needed - a great kitchen area, warm shower, air conditioning, and a good mattress. We loved cooking and eating at the table outside.
There were nice "Yoga" signs leading the way to the place, but I'm glad we reached the casita before dark. Night driving in Costa Rica was a challenge.
Off the beaten path location... of serene beauty, convenience and true to description. Airy casita was clean, well cared for and our hosts provided service above an beyond expectation. They helped by providing a map of the area, personal recommendations as well as good times and adventure tips. I highly recommend experiencing "Pura Vida" with Yoav and Cecilia.
Yoav and Cecilia greeted us upon our arrival and was in great communication before we began our travels. We were given a map when we arrived of local spots to check out in our area which was helpful in getting to know what was around us. We loved the casita we stayed at, with amazing wildlife and a relaxed setting. When we weren't at the beach we practiced yoga with a view at their place. Yoav and Cecilia gave us enough privacy while leaving the door open in case we had any questions or wanted to chat over coffee. We loved our stay and look forward to visiting the beautiful town of Marbella again. Thank you Yoav and Cecilia for offering your wonderful space for us to experience the pura vida!

Wow! Yoav and Cecilia's casita was a welcome retreat for us on an 8-day motorcycle trip around the Nicoya Peninsula. They were both very welcoming and the house was awesome. It was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. The closest beach was absolutely gorgeous and quiet and not far of a drive. If you're looking for peace and relaxation this is a great place to stay.
I instantly felt welcome on arriving at Yoav and Cecilias'. The Casita was clean and beautiful, with gorgeous views of the jungle. I enjoyed yoga in the morning with Cecilia and some locals and they're awesome dogs. Our Hosts were very helpful in getting us oriented in the town, and always available if we needed anything. Marbella is a quiet beach town tucked away from the tourists, but not too far a drive to some more populated places. I felt I really got an inside look at life in Costa Rica and recommend the place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation.
This is an incredible and magical place to visit. It is a scenic and fun adventure to get here, and very much off the beaten path in all the best ways. Yoav and Cecilia are wonderfully accommodating and fantastic people.
The design of the casita is beautiful, thoughtful and peaceful. You would truly have to travel far to find a place as good as this.

We came to live in Marbella where we found the perfect mix of good surf and a natural environment to raise our two children. We love the simplicity that life offers in the rural parts of Costa Rica. For us it’s all about maintaining this simple and relaxed way of life and we enjoy sharing it with anyone who is interested.
