Marbella is still one of the most untouched beaches and one of the most consistent surf spots on the pacific coast of Costa Rica. This contributes to the fact that you can still find amazing surf with no one out in the water or just enjoy having the beach all for yourself. We offer surf lessons with Yoav and yoga lessons with Cecilia and our guest are welcome to use our yoga shala for personal practice.
We are located 2 hours away from Liberia International Airport. 1 hour from Nosara – Playa Guiones which has an airport for domestic flights and 1 hour from the very touristic beach town of Tamarindo.
Playa Negra, which also offers great waves, is 30 minutes away. The Wildlife Refuge of Ostional is one of the World's most important nesting sites for Olive Ridley Sea Turtles is about 30 minutes away as well
The casita is located on the hills of playa Marbella surrounded by beautiful nature. We are located about 2 km from the small village of Marbella and 5 minutes drive to the beach.
The property is located in a secluded area. Perfect for those who like their space. It is recommended to have a car or motorcycle to get around.
There are a variety of restaurants and few small grocery stores in the area for your convenience.
The casita sleeps 3 people. It has a queen size bed and a single bed. It offers a fully equipped kitchen, hot water, A/C and ceiling fans. The water is filtered and safe to drink.
Cleaning service is available upon request.
Laundry is also available.

It was the perfect stop to relax a couple of days! Yoav and Cécilia made great hosts. Good to start your itinerary in Costa Rica, makes you forget the city quite rapidly, never seen so many stars in the sky at night, it must be magic! Pura Vida! - Gen & Chris
What a wonderful spot! So relaxing it felt like home. Very rustic and quaint with an artistic yoga flair. We stayed in both spots and they were equally neat, clean and homey. The owners were down to earth and very accommodating; both of local eats and upscale dining (about 15 minutes away). We also felt very safe there up in the mountains and Kieto made sure to keep any wildlife at bay. The yoga platform is a great place to expand your practice either by yourself or with Cecilia. Yoav also gives surf lessons and Marbella gets a lot of swell- so be ready to surf, have a fire on the beach and then head home to cook dinner or stop by the surf inn.......we loved it :)

We stayed in this lovely place for a week during our honeymoon. Upon arrival it was clear that Yoav and Cecilia and their boys are really wonderful people and they immediately made us feel welcomed. We quickly felt a true connection with them and now consider them to be trusted friends.
Of all of the places we stayed in Costa Rica, this one felt the most like home. We felt so much privacy and respect of our personal space. I spent many hours sunbathing on that lovely porch looking out over the seemingly endless canopy of trees to the sea without another soul in sight. On our first night we saw howler monkeys and one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever witnessed. Every day we were visited by exotic and rare birds - I noted more than 30 species seen from the property. We could walk to the sea and into the little town. Marbella may be one of the last perfect jewels of surfer beaches left unspoiled by commercialism in the whole world. Ryan surfed for up to six hours a day and loved every second of it.
The town consists of no more than two very small tiendas and a soda and a couple of small hotels. The Marbella Surf Inn was a great spot for a nice dinner and a swim and to get some WiFi. There is also a tiki bar on the beach - what more does anyone need?
This casita is modern, clean, elegant and offered all of the things that we needed ... The well-appointed kitchen allowed us to cook at home. The hosts are lovely and we actually wanted to stay forever.
This is by far the best Airbnb experience we've had so far. Driving to Marbella from San Jose was a wonderful off-road experience with great jungle and ocean views on route. Yoav gave us a very warm welcome and showed us in in his fantastic casita. Everything we needed was there; a kitchen, fridge, aircon, a fantastic jungle view and nature's alarm clock (howler monkeys). Once we got settled in Yoav drove us to Marbella beach and gave us a short surf tour which was very helpful. Marbella itself is a very small and quiet village, away from the touristic crowds of Tamarindo and Nosara, but still close enough to everything you might need during your stay. We really enjoyed Yoav and Cecilia's take on 'pura vida', a laid back life focussed on family, nature, surf and yoga. Bring a couple of good books, a surf board, your hiking boots and a 4x4 and this will be your dream holiday. I can't recommend this place enough.
Yoav and Cecilia have chosen the most amazing property to build their home and casita. This area of Costa Rica is still raw and alive. The casita is overlooking a beautiful canopy next to a small valley. Its perfect for watching monkeys and tropical birds while you relax after surfing. Yoav is a respected surfer in the area, known for taking on the challenging hollow tubes of Marbella. Cecilia is an excellent Yoga teacher. Their two sons are energetic and fun! They are growing up in such an incredible place.
This is the perfect place to stay to find great waves, relax and live the Pura Vida lifestyle!
Yoav and Cecilia's house is absolutely beautiful - the pictures don't quite capture how perfect the casita is. They keep it very clean and tidy and provided us with all the things we need for cooking, cleaning, towels, etc. House offers a lot of privacy, although Yoav and Cecilia were always available whenever we had any questions. They are super accommodating and helpful - gave us directions to everywhere we needed, drew us maps, and were very quick to communicate via email before and after our stay.
Marbella is by the most beautiful beach and has the best surf. An absolute paradise. We'd rent the house for a month if we could just get away from work!
We had a great stay in Yoav and Cecilia's cabina. It is very well built, has wonderful views and is a short drive to the surf at Marbella. And the hosts could not have been more welcoming! pura vida.
If you love being very comfortable in a very natural environment (you cannot avoid the bugs) this place is for you. Perched on a mountain, the view was delightfully unmarred by civilization. Its especially gorgeous on a clear night, with zero light pollution, the stars twinkle like I have never seen before (and you can see this while still lying in bed)! The Hadani's are a really sweet family, very gracious. They are good conversationalist, and exemplify the pura vida sentiment you will hear frequently in Costa Rica. I highly recommend the casita for its privacy, amazing location, and general comfort.
