It was my first time in istanbul and first time in Nico's apartment.the days i spent in that flat felt like (website hidden) is a very cozy apartment with everything one might need.situated in a safe area very close to the beautiful Taksim square.
Nico was a great host and i dont know why but from the very moment i met him it felt like family to me.
I travel frequently but i can say that this was the most wonderful experience. Therefore now i know i have a place in istanbul i could call HOME.
Thank you for everything Nico.Ill be seeing you soon.
Le logement est vraiment très bien situé, dans une petite rue calme mais proche de la rue Istiklal. C'est un peu petit mais parfaitement fonctionnel pour deux personnes! Nico a été très sympa et arrangeant tout au long du séjour.
We had a good stay for several days at Nico's appartment. The place was quiet and safe in a very small back street, with groceries in the neighborhood. The appartment was small but covenient. Nico was friendly and helpful, with many useful explanations about the city. A small disadvantage of the place was that publiceren transport was quite far away.
Nico was god host, The apartment is well located near bus stops. The apartment is clean, with very little clutter in the building.
The internet is fast enough. A shopping center is a short distance away. The apartment is well insulated from outside street noise.
The place is quite enough, everything in ok in the kitchen so I can make cook everyday. One thing that make me upset is I can't meet Nico at that moment to say thank you. Just leave magnet from Indonesia in his table. But we are happy in Istanbul :)
My two friends and I had a wonderful time at Nico and Ahmet's apartment in Istanbul. Ahmet was kind enough to meet us at the place at 3am and was very helpful. The apartment is cute and we always felt very safe there and in the neighborhood.
The only thing we really had trouble with is explaining to the taxi drivers the location of the apartment. I would recommend asking Nico or Ahmet to kindly help you out with this by writing out for you, in turkish, a few sentences to have on your phone and show the drivers.
The flat was in the perfect area, next to crazy Taksim square but quiet, and very closed from every public transports. Nico was a great host, very nice and helpfull, he gave us great advices for your journey in Istanbul. THANK YOU !

About the Host, Nico
I am Nico and I am italian.
I live in this wonderful town since 2011
I love this amazing town from my first visit and i falled in love with at first sight so this is why I decided to move here.
I m renting flats with my turkish work partner Ahmet and I really love my job because I have the chance to meet people coming from all over the world and sometimes I like to drink a cup of tea with my guests and talking about our countries and many other subjects, in this way it is like I can travel all around the world staying here in Istanbul....without moving,
I am also a traveller and as I can I like to book a last minute flight discovering new countries
I like swiming, reading, listening music and watching documentaries is one of my favourite things.
I love animals...I love my dog Thelma and I miss her because she is in Italy with my mother, but I m sure she is better with my mum than with me, because my mother is cooking for her fresh meat every day:)
I m able to talk italian, english, spanish, french and now after 2 years living here I can say that my turkish is not really bad....but still learning :-)
I hope you to be my guest, and I will do my best to let you feel home!
