Welcome to Kekaha Beach House. Located on the sunny West Side of Kauai, we are across from Davidsons surf spot, and at the foot of Waimea Caynon, and miles of empty beach. To the west is 17 miles of white sand beach reaching Polihale State Beach.
This two bedroom home has dramatic views of the ocean and a cute and comfortable place to call home. We are located just across the street from Davidsons surf break. There is a small black sand beach across the street and about a mile down the road is a lifeguarded beach and the start of the white sand which runs for 17 miles to Poli Hale beach. Located in Kekaha which is loved for its sunny days and laid back vibe. As with all most all of the ocean view homes in Kekaha we are located across the street from the ocean. With the road there is traffic but our guest always say the views far outweigh the traffic.

We never met Amy in person but she was available and responsive over email and phone/text before and during our stay. Paul was actually working on the property (another unit) during our stay and was super helpful as well.
The place is awesome with a killer view of the ocean and surf. You can see surfers from the lanai. Basic beach equipment is available and much appreciated! Kitchen is stocked with essentials but we couldn't use the BBQ since I think it was out of gas but no biggie. Groceries/facilities/restaurants are in Waimea which is only a 5-10 min drive away depending on the traffic.
Yes, road noise is a factor so consider that if you like quiet accommodations. This is the only negative IMHO.
We'd definitely stay here again.
From the beginning, communicating with Amy was easy. She was very kind and flexible before and during our stay. The pictures do the place great justice. You have everything you need to be comfortable.
Very quiet neighborhood with a fantastic swimming beach across the street and a gorgeous sunset view.
The only thing to be aware of is this isn't the right place for you if you want restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Also, we found that there wasn't any use for snorkeling gear in November during our trip here but the water was warm and made for a great swim.
For us this was an ideal place because we wanted somewhere that was quiet, but relatively close to things we wanted to do (Waimea Canyon, which is a must, some nice beaches, and some nice little cafes). The scenery from the deck will make your friends and family jealous and you can't really beat waking up to the sound of waves crashing onto the beach. Amy was responsive throughout and luckily we really didn't need to contact her during our stay since everything went well. The washer and dryer were also very convenient. There is not much around in terms of food open late so if you are a late night/early morning snacker make sure you stop at the store beforehand and stock up the fridge.
The Kekaha surf house was absolutely perfect for us. Open, airy, and a huge deck for relaxing (and in our case drying out our wet tents :) The west side of the island was sunny and warm while the east/north sides were raining. Would definitely stay here again!
A great listing, in an awesome location.
We loved the house, as it was exactly as described, clean, and in good location for day trips to all Kauai sights on the south shore. The view from the terrace does not have to be highlighted, just great.
We never met Amy, but she provided all information via mail and phone. This made it easy to find access the house.
I can only recommend staying the Kekaha Surf House if you are looking for a cool accommodation on Kauais south shore.
We loved staying at Amy's place. It is just as described and was a very relaxing place to spend the last few days of our trip. Kekaha is a pretty quiet town but is not far from other attractions on the South/West shore. Amy gave great recommendations on things to check out and was very easy to communicate with.
We are a active family of 4 with boys ages 13 and 8. We live on the North Shore of Kauai and love the life we live. We spend a lot of time on the West Side of Kauai where we enjoy the laid back lifestyle and old Hawaii living. We love to travel and most of our trips revolve around the surf or snow.
