Interaction with Guests
No, I am not present. I live in California & I have a property manager in Costa Rica that can be as involved as guests prefer: She meets and accompanies guests to the home upon arrival. She can assist in reserving activities. There is an onsite caretaker as well if issues arise.
The natural scenery is spectacular! The home gives the sense of being far from it all while actually only a 7 minute drive from town and many ammenities. If you love birds, this is the place. When on the main balcony, you feel like you're floating above the jungle. Many restaurants located in town as well as many adventure activities.
A 4x4 vehicle with low gears is required for accessing this part of Costa Rica. Fly into San Jose and rent your car there or hop a commuter flight to Quepos and pick your car up at the small airport. Many public buses run from San Jose to Uvita. There is a tourist information center in town that can schedule shuttles to and from the property. Taxis (4x4) can be hired in town as well. If you are in great shape, you can also walk to and from town. There is onsite parking for 2-3 cars.

I had great experience staying at Dawns place in Uvita. The house is located on a secluded hill right in the jungle, with amazing 360 views and a great very accessible water fall and swimming hole to enjoy and relax in. The house was very clean, modern, and spacious and working internet. It was a short drive to beautiful beaches, surf and other water activities. The town also offered many resturants to choose from and locals were all very nice. Dawn and the management personal were very easy to communicate with and offered many recommendations to enjoy in the area. All in all, it was another great airbnb stay, and hope to be back soon. I highly recommend the host and property to others in the airbnb community.
I've lived in California almost all my life. Lived in Italy for 7 years. Mother of two boys, 10-16 years old. Love to Travel, I try to spend 1-2 months each year at my home in Costa Rica as well as traveling to Europe when I can. I practice Bikram yoga, roller blade, boogie-board, surf and Stand Up Paddle boarding. I love movies, restaurants and time with friends!
