My family stayed for 4 days at Rumah Bajan over the Xmas period. We were warmly welcomed by Yanita and her family who live at the villa in their own quarters. On the positive side, Yanita responded quickly to anything we needed, and tried to find a solution to some existing problems. The villa is spacious and clean, and has a well stocked kitchen. There are TVs and cable in all 3 bedrooms, and the a/cs work efficiently. Its also very close to the beach, which is a big plus for location, as its an easy walk to restaurants, surf and sunsets. The family take care of all the cleaning, and washing up and are available round the clock.
On the negative side the villa is a bit run down, old style, worn down furniture, with gloomy lighting at night. We spent most of our time outside by the pool as the interior was fairly uninviting. The wifi wasn't working for most of the stay(result of a lightning hit), but got reconnected on the last day. The kitchen appliances definitely need to be upgraded, but everything worked with help from the staff.
Overall we had an enjoyable stay, and felt well looked after by Yanita and her family. There was always a driver on standby to take us further afield and we appreciated their willingness to make our stay a good one. We hope the villa owner will spend some time to upgrade the villa in the near future, especially at the level of tariff being charged.. If so we would definitely return.
