Furnished with impeccable taste and style, in a mixture of imported hand-made contemporary and antique pieces, ornamentals and artwork, the villa is replete with custom design elements of innovation and functionality.

The resort is designed in such a way that the units feel extremely private and serene. The Resort is close enough to the town of Red Hook for dining and shopping but also far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. By far Point Pleasant Resort is the most romantic, relaxing, and affordable vacation resort on St. Thomas. The villa really is just an amazing place to just relax, slow down and get away from it all.
VILLA EAST, is not only in a world class resort with lots of amenities but the unit itself is set apart from many other units because it is the closest unit to the pool, as well as closest to the the waterfront restaurant and beach which prevents you from having to walk up and down the steep hills all day long. Disclosure Statement (Exhibit B)
1.Power: Energy on the island is scarce, expensive and at times it can also be unreliable. Island wide power outages can occur from time to time and the electricity be out for a few hours at a time. The room does not have a backup generator. During a power outage candles are provided underneath the kitchen sink.
2.Water: The resort and villas are designed in an eco-conscious way. The water heater is a small energy efficient unit and the hot water might not last as long or be as hot as you might expect at home.
3.Insects and Wildlife: The location of the resort is in a lush tropical environment, therefore a certain amount of tolerance to insects must be accepted. We recommend bringing some bug spray for the evenings when the “no-see-em’s” come out. Also ants can sometimes find their way into the kitchen if food is left out. A can of raid is provided under the kitchen sink to help ward off ants and a quick spray and wipe usually alleviates the problem.
4.Entertainment: At times the resort or neighboring area has live music that can be heard from the unit. It usually ends by 10pm and if you are not enjoying it you can close the doors and windows, which should dampen the sound enough so that it is not a disturbance. (Point Pleasant usually has a live band every Thursday in high season and a monthly full moon party which is on the night of each full moon which can go later than 10pm)

We had a wonderful time staying at Villa East in St. Thomas. Our view looked identical to the beautiful pictures posted on Airbnb. The unit was clean and exactly as we had imagined it. This place is perfect for a couple's getaway and probably big enough for a family with one or two small children because of the sofa bed. The pool is only a few steps away and was never crowded. Panga, the bar & grill was right near the pool too if you wanted a quick drink or bite to eat.
Alan sent us a lot of helpful information before our stay to help us plan our trip. We stayed at Villa East for 5 nights and ended up renting a car from Zip (Lisa is great!) for the first 3 days so we could explore the island and take the ferry to St. John. I would highly recommend renting a car for at least some of the time while in St. Thomas as you need one to really see all the beautiful beaches.
The only thing that didn't go our way on the trip is that we brought tennis rackets after reading that there would be courts available but when we called to find out where they were located, we found out that they are currently under construction. However, the person at the front desk told us we could do a $50 day pass at the all inclusive resort next door and with that, we would have access to their tennis courts, pool, beach, breakfast, lunch and drinks from 7am-5pm. This was a great way to spend a day, but we much preferred the privacy and relaxing atmosphere at Villa East.
If you're considering staying at Villa East, I couldn't recommend it more!
The view from Al's suite is unreal. We were truly blessed by waking up and having breakfast on that incredible wrap-around balcony, and also enjoying a glass of wine out there at night, while being right on top of the blue water. The complex is only minutes away from Red Hook, where you will find a grocery store (super ridiculously expensive!), and a few pubs (our fav was Fatty's...good bar food with good prices). Al was also easily reached by email...I emailed him about getting a new can of Raid, and he replied immediately. The next morning, a worker knocked on our door with a new can. Can't beat that efficiency. His beach recommendations are also good. But everyone, DO NOT MISS MAGEN'S BAY. It's well worth the price of admission and parking. The last nice touch: thanks for the can of pop and welcome bottle of rum. Made unpacking a tad easier haha!
Our experience was awesome! There were so many things to do around that side of the island, without being immersed in a populated area. We liked being close enough to the areas like red hook and Charlotte Amalie, and right inbetween the beaches Megan's Bay, Coki, and Sapphire. Would highly recommend a jeep, as it helped us with the rocky roads on some parts of the island, and it was easy to beach hop. The place was very comfortable, and awesome to wake up and see the water in the mornings.
We stayed 11 days at Villa East and had a wonderful time there.
The place is perfectly situated on St. Thomas, right next to Red Hook and the best beaches on the island. As a part of Point Pleasant Resort, you have the opportunity to use the pools, the restaurant, free use of snorkel equipment and a lot of other great amenities.
The villa itself was very spacious for the two of us and with a well equiped kitchen, which we used a lot. The outdoor areas are as stunning as they look on the pictures.
Alan was a great host and answered the few questions we had within a couple of minutes.
We would definitely return to Villa east.
It was great place to stay with the our two boys. Allan gave us planty of information prior to our arrival. We would love to come again.
It has a really beautiful view, it's extremely close to the only restaurant you can walk to, close to the beaches too. Just keep in mind that it is indeed part of a resort, though it's under its own management.
To further clarify: The villa is not part of the resort rental pool. As a result I am able to offer personalized service at a very competitive price! In addition, when you rent from me you will get access to almost all of the same resort amenities you would get if you rented from the hotel rental program including pool access, concierge services, beach access, restaurant access, free parking, etc. You are even entitled to use the resort shuttle for trips within the resort property.
Villa East was exactly as described in the listing. It's such a peaceful and relaxing location with a view that's tough to beat. Alan is a great host and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone considering, we hope to be back soon!
Villa East is my personal getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The villa really is just an amazing place to just relax, slow down and get away from it all. I have been coming down to the islands over the last 10 years and have lots of recommendations. It would be my pleasure to help you plan your vacation so please do not hesitate to ask!
