The space

Casa Linda is a delightful estate located in the heart of Mexico’s famous Zapotec Indian culture of Oaxaca. Flowering fruit trees shade the surrounding patios and classic water fountain. The main house contains a museum of folk art from the surrounding region in addition to its two double guest rooms with private baths. The sitting room includes a library, DVD player and cozy fireplace. A detached guesthouse with bath provides additional accommodations for two.

Each day begins with a full breakfast including fresh fruit and juices. Tours of the surrounding craft villages are conducted on request by the proprietor who is well known for her knowledge of the local arts and crafts.

B&B I is furnished with two twin beds that can be converted into a king. There is a window with a garden view and private WC with shower.

Linda provides transportation into and back from Oaxaca Central each day for her guests. However there is public transportation available with a stop at the end of her drive.

I developed an interest in Mexican folk art during my studies of native weaving methods in the United States. As Oaxaca is a center for some of the finest folk art in Mexico, it was natural for me to relocate here from California fifteen years ago to continue developing my intere…
