Interaction with guests varies and usually depends on the guest preferences and both of our schedules. I enjoy meeting my guests and engaging in conversation, but totally respect those who prefer to keep to themselves.

  • Amy was a gracious host and her house is in a quiet neighborhood very near the river walk park and bike trail. She prepared a delicious hot breakfast for us each day and helped us orient ourselves to the area. We do not hesitate to recommend her for a stay in Sacramento. Thank you Amy!

  • What a pleasant experience, staying in Amy's warm and friendly home. We didn't see much of each other because of my social schedule, but Amy made sure that all my needs were met, including coffee in the morning. Amy let me store my bicycle in her garage and made me feel very welcomed. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood was safe and quiet. In the future, if I ever need a place to stay in Sacramento, I hope to be able to spend more time with Amy at her house.

  • I enjoyed staying with Amy. We had fun conversations over takeout food and wine while watching Doc Martin. Amy was kind enough to pick up the food. She provided the wine. Her home is very comfortable and the bed was comfortable too! I took a walk to the river which was close by and got some exercise. The neighborhood is safe for walking even after dark. She made a nice breakfast in the morning. She was interesting and pleasant throughout my stay. I'd go back again!

  • Really enjoyed meeting Amy and staying with her! Although I was the first guest to show up without a car (you really need one for spread out Sacramento). Room was very comfortable and Amy was a lovely host.

  • Amy is wonderful! I was coming in very late at night, and she was even kind enough to wait up for me even though she had an early next morning! She has a wonderful dog, Bailey- who I fell in love with. Her home is immaculately clean and comfortable. I was felt completely at home there, and the next time I'm in Sacramento I'll definitely contact Amy again. Thanks Amy!!!

  • I spent 2 weeks in December at Amy's house-it was my first Airbnb experience and it was great! Amy is a wonderful hostess and made my trip away from home very comfortable. She provided everything I needed, as well as great conversation and privacy.

As mentioned in many of the previous reviews, the bed is really comfortable-I slept like a rock! Amy made me feel really comfortable in her home by having cabinet space in the bathroom for all my toiletries, and space in the kitchen for groceries while I was there.

I must mention that her sweet dog Bailey lives up to his reputation-very well behaved and a total sweetheart. Also, I was able to jog while there in the surrounding neighborhoods and felt very safe.

I would highly recommend staying at Amy's if you are visiting Sacramento! Thanks for your wonderful hospitality Amy:)

About
Hi -- I am Amy and I am a California transplant from Chicago, where I was born. I also lived in Grand Junction, CO. I have traveled extensively throughout Europe and also visited Brazil. I was drawn to this site because of the cool, international flavor. I love meeting people from different cultures. I speak French and I am an ESL tutor. In addition to giving individual lessons, I also provide Business English tutoring in corporate settings. I would love to incorporate hosting and teaching ESL lessons for those who want an intensive English language experience. My home is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath home in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. I am 1/4 mile from the American River bike trail, for those who enjoy cycling and walking/hiking. The Light Rail is within 1 walkable mile also, which can take you downtown or to other parts of the bike trail. I have hosted foreign exchange students and was once une etudiante etrangere in France. I would be happy to show you around Sacramento and give back some of the hospitality that has been shared with me in my travels. Happy Trails!
