Interaction with guests varies and usually depends on the guest preferences and both of our schedules. I enjoy meeting my guests and engaging in conversation, but totally respect those who prefer to keep to themselves.
Quiet, relaxed environment. This neighborhood is stable and nice, with great neighbors. The beautiful American River bike trail is an easy 1/4 mile walk from the house. A park with tennis courts and basketball courts are also nearby.
Light Rail is nearby - a one mile walk to the nearest station that goes west to downtown or east to Folsom. Bus line is closer.

I enjoyed staying with Amy. We had fun conversations over takeout food and wine while watching Doc Martin. Amy was kind enough to pick up the food. She provided the wine. Her home is very comfortable and the bed was comfortable too! I took a walk to the river which was close by and got some exercise. The neighborhood is safe for walking even after dark. She made a nice breakfast in the morning. She was interesting and pleasant throughout my stay. I'd go back again!
Really enjoyed meeting Amy and staying with her! Although I was the first guest to show up without a car (you really need one for spread out Sacramento). Room was very comfortable and Amy was a lovely host.
Amy is wonderful! I was coming in very late at night, and she was even kind enough to wait up for me even though she had an early next morning! She has a wonderful dog, Bailey- who I fell in love with. Her home is immaculately clean and comfortable. I was felt completely at home there, and the next time I'm in Sacramento I'll definitely contact Amy again. Thanks Amy!!!
I spent 2 weeks in December at Amy's house-it was my first Airbnb experience and it was great! Amy is a wonderful hostess and made my trip away from home very comfortable. She provided everything I needed, as well as great conversation and privacy.
As mentioned in many of the previous reviews, the bed is really comfortable-I slept like a rock! Amy made me feel really comfortable in her home by having cabinet space in the bathroom for all my toiletries, and space in the kitchen for groceries while I was there.
I must mention that her sweet dog Bailey lives up to his reputation-very well behaved and a total sweetheart. Also, I was able to jog while there in the surrounding neighborhoods and felt very safe.
I would highly recommend staying at Amy's if you are visiting Sacramento! Thanks for your wonderful hospitality Amy:)
I recently had the pleasure to spend 5 days chez Amy and "Bailey". Quelle plaisir!! I felt like I had died and gone to Paris!! Walking into the house is like walking into a pension en Paris with every wall space containing mementos relating to France and/or French-related events. I half expected to hear "La Vie en Rose" coming from the stereo. She will even converse with you "en francais" if you are fluent enough. Regretfully, my college French was too rusty - I'll have to brush up before my next visit.
"Bailey" the Golden Retriever is totally delighted to have visitors - I think he believes everyone comes to visit him! He will even visit with you in your room if you invite him in. I have a new "best friend, Bailey"!
I regretted not having the time to sightsee along the river, as I was in town for a training. The next time I am in town, I will set aside time for a walk by the river.
Merci beaucoup, Amy.
Staying with Amy was great. The house was lovely on a quiet street with good walking, parks and the river very close by. The bedroom was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Amy and I hit it off and gabbed like old friends do. Oh, and Bailey, her dog, is a gem.
Such a cozy and lovely place that I ever had been in U.S.
We enjoyed a super comfortable and relaxed one night stay in Amy's house. Amy was really kind and outgoing. She is a wonderful host. We didn't need to worry anything.
The location was great. Easy to get markets and restaurants. The neighborhood was lovely and very secure. Especially, she has the best security guard!! her dog :). Her dog is really well-trained and adorable. He always greets all of guests she said.
The room was charming and equipped very thoughtfully. The bed was comfortable as well. The only one thing that I regret is we didn't have enough time to stay a little longer to enjoy this beautiful room. But, we had good time with Amy. Even she cooked breakfast for us with coffee. I would highly recommend this place to others. We will certainly visit Amy's house next time.
Thank you Amy! I hope you see you again!
Everything I could have wished for...and a REALLY great dog! Got a good nights sleep. Homey, comfortable, very clean. I'll come again when business brings me to Sacramento.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Amy! She is a warm inviting host who helps you feel very welcomed and comfortable during your stay. The accommodations are comfortable and very clean. Amy not only described but actually showed me some excellent dining spots in the area as well as the walking trails down by the river. She is also able to share sites of interest in the area in and around Sacramento. I will definitely book this again when I return to Sacramento!
I recently spent a few days at Amy's home in Sacramento and I'm thankful that I did. It was a peaceful and comfortable oasis and centrally located for the things I wanted to do while in the area.
The bedroom I stayed in was nicely decorated, the bed was made for a solid night's sleep and I had the run of her entire home. She provided an outstanding breakfast on Sunday plus good strong coffee each morning...I was able to interact with Amy enough to find that we have some shared interests and similar views, which made me feel very welcome there. I can't finish this review without mentioning her dog, Bailey...I wish that every pet I've encountered were half as cool as this dog! I highly recommend her place.
