First floor newly renovated unit in 1930's farm house. Modern amenities. Light housekeeping every other week, utilities, limited sundries, and basic cable included. Queen size bed in bedroom. There is a twin mattress that can be put on the floor.
Newly renovated historic house. There is nothing like it in Walnut Creek! Location is great - short walk to BART, downtown, and easy access to freeway on-ramps for those who are driving.
Cable, utilities, some sundries, and bi-weekly housekeeping are included. There is off-street parking for one vehicle. There is a laundry room.
The house underwent a complete renovation that includes double-paned windows, on demand hot water, new electrical and plumbing systems, and energy efficient appliances.
The apartment has a roll out mattress (for one) that can accommodate a third person bunking in the living room on the floor.
Guests have their own furnished apartment.
Interaction with Guests
The house is close to downtown and BART but it is still a little bit country. The house is next to an open field so there is a real sense of being devoid of neighbors.
Easy....5 minute walk to BART. 10 min walk to shops and downtown. 20 minute walk to outdoors such as Larkey Park and Briones Regional Park. There is a very nice public outdoor pool, volley ball courts and tennis courts nearby.
Other Things to Note
There are two dogs on the property but guests will not interface with them much except maybe through fence. There is occasional noise associated with them but we try to mitigate their impact on the household as a whole.
No smoking anywhere in or around the property. There is light housekeeping done every other week so longer term tenancy will require tenants to keep the apartment reasonably tidy.
Place was clean, nicely decorated and had all the amenities. Good location as well. I had a lovely stay.
Beth's home was amazing. It is very clean, and open, perfect for our family. We were very thankful for the space that this place had.
Beth was great at answering my questions before our arrival. I felt completely at ease during our stay. The apt. is beautiful and was completely functional for the three of us. Having the bathroom separate from the bedroom was great. The kitchen is large and was supplied with everything we could have needed. The yard is great with all the plants and artistic sculptures. Even though the highway is across the street, it was unbelievably quiet in the house! Great location as it is so close to downtown Walnut Creek and BART. I would definitely stay here again!
Fantastic place to stay! I instantly felt at home. If you're staying in the area, I highly recommend the comfort and convenience of this unit.
The size is bigger then most one bedrooms. Nice kitchen with gas range. A washer/dryer in the unit. Parking. Walk to BART (Bay Area subway). Walk to downtown. Walk to parks and charming residential area. Outside sunny front area to read.
This was a perfect place for our one month stay in Walnut Creek. We enjoyed this home-away from home --- bright, sp0otless and comfortable--- a full size kitchen, living room, bedroom and a laundry/furnace/ workroom for out use.
The location was great, too -- just a couple blocks to the Bart Station and Target and a few more to downtown Walnut Creek. During a warmer season, one would have a lovely front yard for their use.
Beth and Lloyd were so pleasant and helpful.
We hope to stay there again soon.

Unit was lovely and as pictured. While we only stayed overnight, I could easily imagine staying multiple nights on a longer trip. Beth was very informative and helpful in giving directions.
We had an enjoyable stay in this charming home. The apartment is beautifully and artistically decorated with interesting art and fun colors on walls and tiles. More importantly, it was very clean and neat and well-equipped. We only saw Beth once and briefly, but she was friendly and personable. She responded readily through texts to help us with a problem we were having using the WiFi connection. The one drawback for us was that the bed is just a double.
I am a recent transplant from San Francisco (currently work in San Francisco). I bought this old farm house in Walnut Creek to take care of my mother who was living nearby. While Walnut Creek is a nice place to land it was hard to find a "suitable" house in Walnut Creek to buy after living in San Francisco and being surrounded by historic homes. Walnut Creek is full of pedestrian ranch homes, shacks, square houses from the 1980's, and modern apartments - none of which grooved with my point of view. This old farm house was a wreck, having been neglected for decades. But it has been given a new life and I hope to share it with others who find themselves passing through Walnut Creek.
I work for the University of California, San Francisco in the field of reproductive rights. I am also an artist - known for making something out of nothing. My other interests are in the animal welfare. I foster and find homes for dogs taken in by Rocket Dog Rescue, a volunteer group located in San Francisco.
What do i like about my adopted city? Walnut Creek has a nice downtown with good grub. Most days are sunny and warm. There are many great options for spending your days outside. The streets are squeaky clean. And it’s close to Oakland and San Francisco should you need your big city fix!
