Hello future guest!
My name is Carlos Cabanillas from Barranco, Lima-Peru, but everybody calls me "Carlitos" I'm on my last year of university and i'm 25.
Barranco is a bohemian small city in front of the pacific ocean. I live 5 minutes from the beach by car and 20 walking. Around my house you can find many places as malls, markets, shops, laundry, bus station, beach, nigthlife, etc.
I have my own tourism company and I offer a free surf lesson and a tour around Lima to everybody who stay at my home.
This is a share room. The service includes: wifi, share bathroom, own keys, using of the kitchen and breakfast everyday. You can stay here from one nigth until no more than one year. Smoking is allow outside of the house. Food and airport pick up are additional services.
Supermarkets, laundries, malls, parks, the beach, are close no more than 10 minnutes each of them.
The price is US$15.00 per person.
Please get in contact with me and become part of the real peruvian culture!

Carlitos is friendly and extremely helpful and His home is very welcoming, clean and comfortable. We will stay again for sure. So happy that we have a new friend in Lima! Nos vemos pronto
Carlos and his family were great! Though my friends and I only had one night to be with them, they were responsive, hospitable and friendly. Carlos greeted us at the door, showed us around Barranco, introduced us to great scenery and a restaurant, and then the next day, helped us find a cab to the airport. His mom, Mercedes even woke up early to make us breakfast before our early flight! I wish we had more time to take surf lessons, but I guess that just means we have to return. The walk to downtown is about 10 minutes, and a cab to & from the airport should be about s/40 to s/45 each way. Barranco is a nice area, although I wonder if there's a whole lot to do outside of the downtown area...i'd go back to check it out though!
Carlos' place is awesome. Carlos is really welcoming and helpful, and made me feel like part of the family.
He showed me around Lima, taught me spanish, salsa and surfing (even though I was lazy and reluctant). He showed me Peruvian cuisine, spent lots of time helping me get established and was always inviting me to something.
The place is in fact really well located. Just a short walk from the beach or to Miraflores, and plenty of cheap bus services to anywhere you need. Plus Barranco itself is a very nice area and not as touristic as Miraflores.
Next time I visit Lima I will definitely talk to Carlos.

I have lived all my life in Barranco, the most bohemian city in Lima in front of the sea, with my parents Danilo & Mechita and my sister Sandra in a christian home. I go almost every day to the beach, spent time reading, surfing. I work as an surf instructor. I studied hotel management and tourism. I love to take surfing and out in the city to everybody who stay at my place. Good way to practice spanish.
I like also going to movies, listen all day good music. And if you stay with us, you will live the real local experience, not like a bored tourist, be part of my culture, food, language, music, friends, sea, waves, etc...
