Welcome to our Cali-styled bungalow! We’ve created this colorful, eclectic/mid-century modern, one-bedroom as a private hideaway for couples and friends seeking some quiet space to refresh. This is a truly unique Outer Banks getaway, where guests are insured total privacy in a playful yet calming atmosphere. Our bungalow is a refuge from the digital world - a reconnection to analog. Especially great for honeymooners and babymooners. Unplug, unwind, spin some vinyl, and have fun at the beach!

The space
Hello Bungalow is a comfortable, eclectic, bohemian space with a nod toward the mid century modern roots of this classic 1968 post and beam structure. With a single-floor open layout, the entire redesign of this small yet spacious one-bedroom home has been hand-crafted by my artist husband with the aim of making a stay here a unique experience - much more than just a place to sleep. The space is a cozy 575 square feet, with high ceilings, loads of color, plants, and a touch of the whimsical with vintage designer MCM pieces. Indulge into the hotel-style luxury king hybrid mattress appointed with cloud-like premium goose down bedding and crisp linens, and on dark cloudless nights you can stargaze while laying in bed. Our vinyl collection is growing and the living area is comfortable and lively, encouraging hanging out rather than zoning out in front of the TV. Though if you want more tech oriented entertainment, the smart TV in the bedroom has access to Netflix and 15 channels, and of course high-speed WIFI covers the entire property. Relax on the hanging chair in the jungalow nook adjacent to the bedroom, a perfect place to read or wake up with your morning coffee (there are also yoga mats and meditation cushions there). We’ve tried to think of everything that you would need for comfort and ease, and then some, so the full kitchen is stocked with stainless steel cookware and appliances, and we provide all the basic items needed for cooking. An outdoor charcoal grill is available for easy mealtimes as well. The small yet efficient bathroom is stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc... and our outdoor shower (with hot and cold water) is an wonderful treat after a day at the beach.

Guest access
This is a stand-alone, single-family home, and you'll have private access to the entire property which sits on a large lot in a low density neighborhood. Other than the 550 square foot bungalow, guests will enjoy the front deck, outdoor shower, and adjacent outdoor seating area with a hammock under the trees.

Set on a spacious lot in a quiet, residential neighborhood gives this property a leisurely feeling. It's an enjoyable 300-yard stroll to one of the nicer more tranquil beaches in the area, and we provide a little red wagon for you to help you cart your beach gear. This neighborhood is secluded from the hustle and bustle, yet centrally located to all the attractions the Outer Banks has on offer. Directly to the west is the 425-acre Wright Brothers National Memorial Park. You can be at the most popular restaurants, bars, and shops of Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills in less than 5 minutes drive. A brand new grocery store (Publix) is just a two minute drive. The 420-acre Jockeys Ridge State Park is 10 minutes south, and the Cape Hatteras National Seashore is just 20 minutes south.

We love sharing both the Treefrog Tower and Hello Bungalow, and are constantly looking for ways to create the very best and most memorable experiences for our guests. We've traveled extensively internationally and domestically and love staying in other Airbnbs for our travels. We love sharing this big beautiful world and it's people with our little one, and feel that unique cultural experiences are among the most valuable things we can share with her.
