The apartment was exactly as advertised. David, the greeter, was extremely helpful. Showed us around the apartment and then took time to give recommendations for our time in Paris. There were a few hiccups but all of them were handled promptly and with no fuss. We saw a few lingering ants from the previous spray and David came that day to take care of it. One morning we found a leak under the sink and it was fixed before we returned to the apartment that afternoon. One mixed aspect of the apartment is the washer/dryer. On the one hand it is nice to have something to wash your clothes in but on the other hand it takes a very long time to do a single very small load. 2:40 is the shortest cycle you can do. If you are just doing Paris and only need some light refreshing it's great. If you are doing a longer trip and need to do laundry it's passable but not ideal. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment and Cobblestone in general. Should we return to Paris we will definitely use Cobblestone again.

Thank you for your positive comments. You are right that the machine is for very small loads, however there is a laundromat across the street for larger loads. Thanks!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 8 nights during Paris Fashion Week and the apartment is absolutely gorgeous. The location is on a very busy corner and at night it's super noisy so unless you bring earplugs, don't count on getting much sleep! But having the metro around the corner is super helpful. The apartment itself was beautifully decorated. I loved the high ceilings and natural light. There's also a wrap around veranda so you can stand there and admire the surrounding neighbourhood. The kitchen is well-equipped and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolate. There was also a host of Parisian-inspired Hollywood DVDs that we could watch, but unfortunately it was tricky to figure out the TV system so we watched Netflix on our iPads instead, which was no problem as the wifi was excellent. The size of the bedroom was larger than most places I've stayed at in Paris so that was a nice plus! The bathroom was also nice and neat and the shower, albeit very small - wouldn't be good for a standard size male - was nice and modern. Now to the cons... we had an ant problem. It first started in the bathroom - they were super tiny ants but there were so many of them, it really freaked us out. While we asked the property manager to deal with the problem, it did seem like he came over while we were out but the problem was still there. The manager did offer to move us to another property but by that point (end of the first day) we were simply too tired and already settled to up and move again so we decided to just stay and live with it. Although when we discovered the ants in the bed, that was really pretty gross. We texted the manager several times without response and we were too busy with our meetings in town to deal with this but it made for quite an annoyance because this apartment was so beautiful. Btw - this apartment requires several keys to get into the unit and the elevator was absolutely tiny. It says maximum of three persons but it only comfortably fits one at a time. And note to future visitors, carry your luggage up and down the stairs. Don't use the elevator as you won't fit all your luggage! Since this apartment is only on the 3rd floor, it's not too bad.

Thank you for your stay. I disagree that you won't get much sleep though, when the windows are closed, they do a great job of cutting out the noise, so unless you are a very sensitive sleeper, most have not had a problem with this. You are right though, that earplugs are a good idea, but this is for all paris apartments that face onto the street, they are all a little noisy as most apartments in large busy cities are, for those that are sensitive to noise, we can recommend a few other of our units that face interior courtyards and therefore don't have any street noise, however you generally sacrifice light and a view. That is the dilemma of Paris apartments. I do apologize about the ants, we have spoken with the building management company and will make sure the problem is taken care of for good. We hope to see you back in Paris again soon.

This place is beautiful, typical Parisian style apartment. We were warmly welcomed on arrival with wine and chocolate! We were not aware that the apartment was on a main street of the city or across the road from a police station, which when we have a 1 year old baby, made this quite difficult when she needed to sleep.

Response from Jennifer Of Cobblestone:
We are glad you found the apartment beautiful. It should be noted any apartment in Paris that faces onto the street will have some noise, not just this one. It is a noisy city. We do offer several apartments that face the interior courtyards of the building however, so those that are really sensitive to noise can enjoy the general quietness of these options.

Host was great! The apartment was exactly how it was pictured on the listing. The location is prime, but a bit loud since its at the corner of two big streets. During the summer and early fall, it does get hot and very hard to sleep without the windows opened but opening the windows will allow air flow as well as loud street noise. Overall it was a nice apartment to stay at. Highly recommended for weddings to get ready in with the nice draperies and french doors and balcony.

Response from Jennifer Of Cobblestone:
Thanks for your review. You are right the location is prime, but that does come with some street noise, which is to be expected in any Parisian apartment that faces the street. We do have some units which face the interior courtyards of the building so are much more quiet, however you do not get a view and light. A guest should decide what is more important to them, and expect some noise as Paris is a very busy and hectic city. Anything right in the center will be great for walking and getting around, but one should not expect total silence. The windows in this unit are very good at blocking out the noise and we do provide fans if it is warm inside. This apartment has been a favorite for many years and I expect for many more years to come. Thanks, Jennifer

Beautiful Parisian apartment in the middle of the city was a perfect experience for our getaway to Paris for the weekend. We were able to prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen, watch French themed movies which were provided and so close the the metro stations to go exploring. We were provided a really nice bottle of wine and chocolate when we arrived! The apartment is in an old building so a few little quirks. We weren't able to get the lift door to open so just needed to walk up two flights of stairs with our luggage (which wasn't a problem for us), the apartment has no ventilation except for the windows. It is quite loud at night being on the corner of a intersection so we closed the windows but it was quite warm and stuffy to sleep. There were a couple of fans provided which we used when in the apartment. We also went to use the "free cruise" tickets provided with this listing though after queuing in the long line we were told our tickets had already been validated 1 month prior. It was late on our last night in Paris so we did not ask the owners for new tickets. We informed our greeter but with no reply. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends/family, we felt it was safe, it was clean and there were no major issues ...and we had a time in the apartment!

Response from Jennifer Of Cobblestone:
Thank you for your review. We do apologize that you could not open the door for the elevator, we will ask the building manager to repair the door handle. We are also sorry about the issue with your free river cruise tickets. Apparently, there was a new employee working there and did not understand the policy. We are since ensure this will not happen again. I have sent you a refund for these tickets, I hope you received it. Thanks again.
