In which hotel could you open your bedroom doors directly onto a glorious private garden? I've been hosting with Airbnb for four years and perfected this pretty double room to provide maximum comfort and convenience. One hundred and twenty 5 star reviews and counting....
This really is a unique guest experience, in the heart of historical Wimbledon village, only 20 minutes to the City of London. Full of natural light and south-facing, the room opens onto a private terrace where breakfast can be enjoyed in the complimentary dressing gowns and slippers.
There's a new solid pine double bed, exceptionally comfortable memory mattress, king-size duvet, anti-allergy bedding and large soft towels. The adjacent bathroom is stocked with free toiletries and has a power shower and bathtub.
Prepare your breakfast in the kitchen, including filter coffee, tea, cereals, breads, spreads, yogurts - in fact, let me know your favourites and I'll get them in. You are welcome to use the kitchen at any time to help yourself to drinks and prepare meals.
Laze in the comfy tub chair with footstool and gaze into the garden. Watch the digital TV with cable channels or a DVD from the movie library as you flick through the maps and guidebooks. Have dinner delivered from a local restaurant or dine at an award-winning gastro-pub in the Village.
Readers have a library of books, novels and poetry to browse through in the bookcase.
And to connect to the internet I provide super-fast Wifi broadband and a Sony Vaio laptop.
Facilities in your room:
* TV - digital cable with 100s of channels
* DVD player and movie library
* WiFi superfast internet broadband
* a Sony Vaio laptop
* towels, large bath sheet and hand towel
* Dressing gown and slippers
* powerful hair dryer
* international plug adaptors
* hanging space and luggage racks
* alarm clock
* library of books, novels, poetry, photography
* maps and London guidebooks
Oh, and binoculars to lie back in bed and watch the cats chase the squirrels.
I am an experienced and successful host, so you will feel relaxed as soon as you arrive, but at the same time I respect your need for privacy. After a short tour to settle you in, I give you a set of keys to come and go as you please.
I live in the apartment and share the facilities with you, but as guests, you have priority. And I am always available to help with anything, from business services to tourist advice.
Wimbledon is one of London's most perfect villages, full of high-end shopping, award-winning gastro-pubs, rambling Wimbledon Common and, of course, the Tennis Championships.
The sight of horses strolling around the village from the local stables adds to the country feel.
During Wimbledon fortnight the village is full of Tennis stars and fans enjoying the buzz and excitement of the tournament.
Local to my apartment there are restaurants and bars including good gastro-pubs with traditional ales and country charm. A large quality supermarket, Waitrose, is two minutes around the corner.
Wimbledon Station is a 0.4 mile walk, about 8-10 minutes. From the station you can travel by tube or train to Central London in less than 20 minutes. A bus stop is directly around the corner and can take you to the station or directly into town. There's also a good taxi service I can recommend. I can provide parking permits to allow you to park directly outside the apartment.
Airport connections are good. Heathrow and Gatwick airports offer many rail, tube and bus routes on public transport. Journey times are from 50 minutes to 1.5 hours. A taxi from Heathrow is 30 minutes for £38 GBP. I provide a link so you can book this online from abroad ahead of your arrival, if you wish.
I have two cats, Hansel and Gretel. They are very well behaved and will not enter your room, unless invited. They are too busy chasing the squirrels...

Janey is a wonderful host, very considerate, friendly and fun. Our communication was friendly, fast and to the point.
Room is exactly as pictured in a lovely neighbourhood.
I can only recommend staying with Janey - loved the room and especially waking up to the view of the fantastic garden.
Thank you very much - I´ll be back should the occasion arise!
Janey was very welcoming and accommodating. She catered for our needs and her flat was very well placed for Wimbledon town centre. The room was very cosy, warm and comfortable. Janey made us feel at home.
Janey was prompt & helpful, the bed was comfortable & the flat easy to get to from Wimbledon Station. As it was February we didn't get to enjoy the garden, but it would be beautiful in good weather. Recommended!
Lovely airbnb experience in Janey's house. The house is quite well located in Wimbledon. The garden room make you feel in another place and you can even see some squirrels from your bed with binoculars. Everything was completely clean and tidy and Janey provide you all the info an accommodation that you need in her house. When I had to the ironing she realized that the ironing board was not perfect so she bought another one at the next day!. But above all she is very friendly, respectful and helpful. I totally agree that Janey is a SuperHost!
What a fantastic first experience with airbnb.
Janey was a fantastic host, she was kind, generous and went out if her way to make our first time in London a great one. Her flat was so cozy, we immediately felt at home. Wifi was quick and readily available and breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
The cats are lovely and it was great to have squirrels outside our bedroom window. Our room was made up daily and fresh water provided.
The location is good although it can be trial to walk to station in the rain. However, Wimbledon village is lovely and they're are plenty of nice places to eat and shop. Janey has many good suggestions of places to go in London and the best way to get there. She also provided feast maps and guidebooks for use during your stay.
Overall, we loved our stay at Janey's and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We stayed at Janey's house for 3 days. The place is walking distance to wimbledon station. She is very welcoming and helped us figure out how to get to different places in London and even recommended good shopping places. Her house is very homey and she respects your privacy. We recommend staying into her place!
I have been to London for Xmas period with my mom and we couldn't choose a better place to stay than Janey's house.
She is helpful, lovely and one of a kind.
We strongly recommend her place either for short or long stay.
I would highly recommend Janey's generous hospitality. Although it was a fleeting visit Janey made us feel so welcome in her home without being at all intrusive. Plenty of helpful information was given before we arrived; the room was lovely and spotlessly clean with a pretty view of her garden; the bed (as many have remarked) was indeed blissfully comfortable and Janey went out of her way to provide what we fancied for breakfast despite the fact that usually toast and marmalade will suffice! We wanted for nothing but had we forgotten our toothbrushes Janey could even offer brand new ones for us to use! Over and above expectations totally! Thank you for having us Janey, next time I hope we can stay for longer!
Janey was a perfect host,careful, discreet and amiable. the room is perfect with the most confortable bed i had never try!i stongly recommend! I hope i will (website hidden) back to her lovely home!
