Hi AirBnB renters!
The apartment is located on a famed street in Nolita, on the island of Manhattan, New York City—on the cusp of the East Village (2 minute walk), Lower East Side (2 minute walk), Little Italy (1 minute walk) and Chinatown (5 minute walk). The area has been recently renamed Nolita. But about 10 years ago it was considered SOHO. Now, you are 1 block away from SOHO.
You are no more than 3 short blocks away from several subway stops. You are in the very heart of New York City. It is clean and safe, and a lot of fun. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shopping, and people like Ian Schrager, Iman/David Bowie, Gabriel Byrne, Tyra Banks, Brooke Shields, etc., live in the neighborhood.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor, 650 sq. ft. It is a typical railroad apartment in the neighborhood. This is not a high end loft. There is no elevator. The floors are hardwood. The livingroom looks out on Mulberry Street. The apartment is clean and you won't find a more convenient location in the most popular neighborhood in NYC. The bathroom is small, but hopefully you won't be in the bathroom too much. :-)

Brian is a genuinely nice guy and an incredible host. The apartment lived up to every expectation. It's true the bathroom is small, but how much time do you really plan to spend there? It's the perfect spot for a couple looking to get a good feel of what living in an incredible area of Manhattan is like.
Brian met us when he said he would, checked-in via text with some follow-ups (that he stocked the fridge with some essentials for us) and even got us departure times for our 4am train out to Newark.
I honestly cannot overstate how great an experience it was staying at Brian's apartment. You can't beat the location, the price or the host. Book it now. I definitely plan to again.
Brian has a fantastic apartment in an excellent location. I have no hesitation recommending it and look forward to coming back! Brian is a very attentive host.
Great apartment! I stayed in the apartment for 11 nights with my boyfriend and we both had a fantastic time. The apartment is clean and in a brilliant location. Would definetly recommend staying here!
We had a good stay in Brian's apartment. I would definitely stay there again, but please be aware of the little quirkiness of the apartment before you book it (see cons below).
- It's perfectly located on Mulberry St in Nolita with the subway nearby and tons of nice places in the neighbourhood
- The apartment is very nicely furnished.
- Brian was super helpful to arrange the easiest possible handover of keys and giving directions and he answers to emails promptly. He seems like a nice guy who can be trusted.
- The person sleeping in the beds said it was very comfortable and quiet.
- The bathroom door does not close but swing open automatically with nothing holding it back. Not possible to close or lock. It makes for some unpleasant sounds and smells for the one sleeping in the bed, which is just next the the bathroom.
- I stayed on the couch in the living room which was facing the at times pretty noisy street. The windows didn't remove any noise so I woke up several times because of garbage trucks, partying people, and people yelling at each other right outside the window (earplugs helped most but not all the time).
- The radiators were (literally) running on full steam with hot water and steam drizzling down on the floor and making strange sounds. They were either super hot or totally cold, nothing in between.
Overall, a very nice apartment and I would stay there again if I didn't have to sleep on the couch.
Our stay at Brian's was fantastic! Brian was so helpful and accommodating throughout the process, answering any questions we had, giving us recommendations for places to visit and is just a genuinely lovely person. The apartment had everything we needed, it was clean, well looked after, in a great location and perfect for our stay in NYC. A grreat experience all round!
Really enjoyed my stay at this conviniently located apartment.
Brian is a very nice host - responsive and friendly. I met him at check-in and he recommended a couple of place to go out.
Would stay here again.
We absolutely loved the apartment and the location was perfect. Brian was very helpful and attentive and met us personally with the key as soon as we arrived. He gave us advice regarding restaurants and shopping and even texted us during our stay to make sure we were happy. We loved our stay there!
We also live in Nolita and use AirBnB for our out of town guests. Brian was wonderful to work with, quick to respond and even left breakfast for my in-laws. He made it very easy for us to pick up the keys and the apartment was spotless. "Unfortunately" because Brian and his apartment were such a pleasure, the in-laws can't wait to come back.
Brain's apartment was perfect for my stay, brilliantly located, clean and comfortable in a quiet and safe area (with plenty to do within walking distance).
I met Brian at check-in and he was very responsive before and during the stay, would recommend and stay again myself!
Extremely good communicator! Was super helpful with questions about the apartment, area and how to use airbnb. Getting the keys was simple. Brian had good tips of the surrounding area. Apartment was in a perfect location! Great area for atmosphere, shopping, restaurants and convenience. Comfortable bed. The only problem we had was with the toilet, which seemed to easily block - but was easily fixed.
