The Tuberose Studio is attached to our 1950's bungalow in Azalea Park, a central San Diego neighborhood. Designed by a local architect, the light filled space is perfect for a weekend getaway.
The space
At the center of the studio is a beautiful midcentury-style king bed, complete with a top of the line Tuft & Needle mattress and Oeko-Tex certified bed linens.
We have provided a clothing rack for your belongings. There's a small desk in the studio should you need to catch up on emails while you're here. Enjoy a selection of new and vintage records on our turntable. Ceiling fan, heat, and AC for the warm months. Small fridge, kettle, ceramic mugs, and tea for your enjoyment :)
The ensuite bathroom features a large, tiled walk in shower and an operable skylight. We have stocked the bathroom with organic bath towels, and natural bath products.
The bedroom opens on to a shady private deck with a chaise lounge and a small table.
Original art, plants, and the studio is completely solar powered!
Guest access
Please feel free to enjoy the shared yard and fire pit.
Other things to note
Our family lives in the house directly attached to the studio. While we have taken measures to soundproof the space, muted household sounds are to be expected. A heavy, lockable door separates the studio from our laundry room/back hallway.

From the host
Azalea Park is a transitional neighborhood just east of downtown. We live on a quiet street bordered by a canyon. Though parts of the neighborhood are still a little rough around the edges, it's a lovely place to walk during the day.

Hi! I'm Katie, I'm married to Ed, and we have three kids. We love exploring new cities, camping, hiking, architecture/design, books, good company, movies, food. We live in a little 1950's bungalow in San Diego (home to the Tuberose Studio).
We have loved staying in Airbnbs around the world and experiencing the unique character of each home, and the people we've met along the way.
