Villa Del Mar is conveniently located 20 minutes walking distance from Playa del Carmen's famous 5th Avenue promenade stretching from the north end of Playa to the very south end. Fifth Avenue, also knows as La Quinta is saturated with trendy and local shops, international restaurants, cafes, trendy night lounges, bars, and disco clubs!

*Please be aware that, due to warming weather and fluctuating ocean currents, the Riviera Maya may experience the presence of naturally occurring seaweed during the hotter months of the year.

Playacar Phase I, known as the most prestigious neighborhood of Playa del Carmen, is a gated community with 24 hour private security where you will find the more exclusive homes of the area. These homes are situated just steps from the crystalline blue waters of the Caribbean and all are either oceanfront or have the ocean nearby. Many have spectacular views of the ocean and at night one can enjoy the twinkling lights of Cozumel Island, only a 40 minute ferry ride away. Playacar Phase I is also ideally located only a short stroll from the bustling pedestrian walkway La Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue) where you will discover an abundance of great shopping opportunities, fine dining and an ample variety of hotspots and fun bars.

In Playacar Phase I, it isn’t even necessary to rent a car as just about everything is within walking distance. Phase I is a safe neighbourhood and you find many guests enjoy strolling around enjoying the ocean breeze, beautiful foliage and ancient Mayan ruins located amongst the palms trees. Many a bride and groom have chosen to take their vows ocean side and later walk to town with the entire wedding group to celebrate at a private party in one of the nearby restaurants.
