  • You will get a lot: the house is situated a couple of kilometres outside of Bariloche at a peaceful, beautiful and very quiet lake. It feels like the perfect hideaway to relax - and it is. The standard is high, the rooms are decorated with a lot of taste and both, the house and its surroundings, are exceptionally well kept after and very clean. This is place for people who appreciate true quality and know how to enjoy the good things. The very warm and welcoming owners Nuno and Manu will make sure you have everything you need. We have been sad to leave this place and we can only recommend it. Enjoy!

  • I can really recommend it! Nuno is a perfect host, courteous and super nice! The house is just amazing, located in a beautiful lagoon with an incredible view of the mountains behind. It was the best Airbnb place I've been so far in Argentina. It has an open design with big rooms and large windows, yet it was reeally cozy. The attention to detail throughout the house is remarkable. You could have a great time there both in summer and winter.

  • Best in Bariloche

We stayed for 8 nights at Nuno’s Place at Villa el Trebol - and it was the best stay in Argentinia. The House is very modern, totally comfortable and very well equiped. The Owners Nuno and Manu are extremely nice and care a lot about their guest. The price for this very high standard room is a big bargain.

There are 3 rooms in the house - the guests (max 6) share the whole casa. The people we meet in the house in our stay were great and from all over the world.

The owners live next to the place, but are always available if you need help. I think, you also can rent the whole place with the three rooms together.

What to do… You can swim in the lagoon, cook in the great kitchen, read in the ton of design books, and from here you have a great start for the Circuito Chico (bike ride). Llao Llao (boat trips, golf course, 5 star hotel) ist about 20 min with the bus. A good supermarket is too far away to walk, but it takes 10 min with a bus or you go by hitchhiking. To rent a car is another good option.

We like to recommend the place very much. Thanks for having us - we really enjoyed it!

  • Nuno and Manu are wonderful. Their home is the nicest place we have ever stayed. They were the perfect hosts with suggestions for what to do and where to eat. We relied on their advice for hikes as well and had a marvelous three day trek. We could not recommend them more strongly. Thank you for everything.

  • We had a wonderful stay in Nunos house private room on the Lagoon no 2. The house was absolutely stunning and had everything and more that you could wish for. The location right on the shores of the lake was awesome.
Nuno himself as so friendly and helpful and couldn't have made you feel anymore welcome and the same goes for his partner Mano, there was even homemade bread waiting for you on arrival.
I would definitely recommend anyone staying in Bariloche to try out this accommodation, it was a real treat.

On arrival we were given homemade bread which was delicious and a lovely touch.

  • Our stay at Nuno's place could not have been better! Stunning location and a really cozy home from home! Our room was fantastic, right on the lagoon with floor to ceiling windows. Although the house is a bit of a distance from Bariloche town, we found that everything we wanted to do was on our doorstep anyway - Cirquito Chico (bike ride) starts right outside the house and the bike rental shop is 5 mins walk away, the hike up to Cerro Campanario starts just 10 minutes walk away. Also the lagoon right in front of the house is beautiful and Nuno has kayaks which we used to do a circuit of the lake one day. For dinner it is easy to get a bus into town (bus stop 5 mins walk away, buses every 20 minutes) and Nuno and Manu helped us out with lifts when they were going to town, which was great. I'd recommend a trip to the supermarket in Bariloche before heading out to the house to save yourself a trip into town later. Nuno and Manu are so friendly and really made us feel at home. They had great recommendations for the local area. We extended our stay here twice because we loved it so much!

  • The house is a bit far from town as it is a 35min bus ride to and from the city center, but the remote location is also the advantage. The house sits right on the serene lagoon with an amazing view. If you are looking for tranquility, this is the place. The residence itself is a great open space with charming mid-century furniture. The rooms are put together very well with each one having it's own back access to the patio.

Bottomline: The distance from town requires a rental car for easy transport, but it's worth it. The lagoon view and the surrounding area is just breathtaking. Do yourself a favor and stay here to experience it.

  • Unreservedly Five-Star. Sadly we only had five days to visit Bariloche. I'm not sure I've ever stayed in such a nice place - location as well as the gorgeous house. The nearest I've known in the 'fell asleep and awoke as a millionaire' stakes would be the best of the spanish Paradores that I've visited. A green-roofed eco-house nestled into a wooded bank, super modern architecture, lovely interior spaces and lighting, and a view over the gin-clear lagoon to die for, from every room - you wake up, flick the switch, the electric blind glides up and there it is. The light and the sky change constantly, and it's easy to find you've been sitting for an hour, just watching it change and forgetting to go out to visit the area - which itself is loaded with beautiful natural spots; huge freshwater lakes, trout rivers, mountains, forest hikes, 1500 year-old larch trees, viewing points, birds, butterflies... Finally, our host, Nuno. He's the perfect gent - when he lets the property he keeps totally out of the way in a separate annexe, and leaves you absolutely in peace. Until, that is, you need some help, a recommendation for a trip, shopping or a restaurant - he knows the area really well and is very generous with all of that. Other amenities: there are kayaks to fall out of into the lagoon, and two sweet dogs from a local rescue organisation. They're very nicely natured and will sit with you on the deck, but know absolutely not to come into the house when there are visitors. If all of this sounds like a plug for the place and the proprietor, I guess it is. The place is gorgeous and our host absolutely charming, and he deserves to do well - designing such a lovely living space and being prepared to share it so generously is pretty amazing. We literally cannot think of anything negative to comment on. Even the bus drivers went out of their way to help us - we didn't feel like hiring a car, so we used the buses quite a lot. If you hadn't made it to the stop, they would stop where you were, and tell you when you were getting close to your stop. It ain't like that in London, for sure...

  • The short version: Don't even think about not staying in this place! You won't find a better place in Bariloche in terms of superior quality AND value for money, so spare yourself the hours of searching.

The long version: Where to begin? Well, the house - it's just amazing. So beautiful and tastefully decorated, so extremely clean, and with such amazing views. We stayed there for a whole week, and it was just pure therapy to wake up every morning and look out the floor-to-ceiling windows and see the lagoon and snow-covered mountains.

We rented a room while the owners, Nuno and Manu, also stayed in the house, which was a great experience. The room is large and nice enough (and has it's own entrance and terrace) to stay there all day long if one wanted to do that, but we could use the kitchen and living room as we wished (which we did a lot), and it didn't feel like we were in Nuno or Manu's way.

Location was surprisingly good. To be honest, when we booked we were a little worried about the location 20 km outside Bariloche center as we didn't have a car - only to find out that this is actually the area from where many of the good trips start. Still, having a car would have given us some more freedom, however that would have been the same issue had we stayed in the center, as it really is a huge national park. We managed fine by taking the bus, hitchhiking (gave us some fun meetings with the locals!) and getting a lift from Nuno or Manu when they were going to Bariloche.

Finally, and most importantly, Nuno and Manu are the most loveable guys ever, and we had a great time staying with them. They are simply the perfect hosts, and it was quite sad to say goodbye to them.
