Other Things to Note
Complimentary Tea, coffee and mineral water.
Extra food available on request - the best local cuisine in town!
Not too many.....please do not take the towels out of the house.
When in Asia use a sarong on the beach - it dries quicker and a towel becomes cumbersome.
The kitchen is for general use, so please keep it tidy and clean.
Same with the terrace and communal areas - be kind to your environment and smile a lot!!
we loved to stay at belindas very beautyful and cosy property. the interieur design is great and the garden seems like eden. she is a very nice host, and we appreciate it so much that she spend time to tell us exiting storys about sri lanka and her own live. we where also happy to get some god adresses of restaurants and activity places from her. vera&manuel
Such a beautiful house and area. At this place you get to know a bit the local living. There are no other Guesthouses surround, it is not noisy and it is in the "jungle". So perfect for a few relaxing days!
With the bicycles it takes about 10 minutes to the beach.
The team at Belindas place ist really adorable and they assist us in traveling and delivered insights into the local way of life and culture.
We will come back. For sure!

We spent wonderful time at Belinda's house. Chandana took really good care of us. Chamila is a really good cook and prepares delicious Sri Lankan rice and curry.
The house itself is decent and clean. You need to be equipped with lot of mosquito repellents but it is nothing surprising as you stay out of town.
We totally recommend it.
Staying at Belinda's after our Sri Lanka tour was a real treat. She is willing to give you directions for an easy reach to her house or arrange for a car to pick you up from the airport. The rooms are lovely, simply and beautifully decorated, with a vintage touch. Everything is clean and well-maintained. Belinda and her family made us feel very welcome, they are relaxed and friendly and try their best to answer all your questions, give you tips and share the "inside information" you wish to know, as a tourist. In the morning, you might have the chance to see playful monkeys in the garden or watch a Komodo dragon leisurely crossing the road. Great place to stay even if you like to head to the beach every day, it's near and you can see on your way palm trees, beautiful houses, rice fields, temples. The food is delicious, you can either eat Sri Lankan dishes or international ones. Based on her own experience, Belinda might recommend you where to hang out, go to the beach, shop, take a massage or visit interesting places. Really recommend!
Amazing place. We were also lucky to meet nice and interesting people living there at the same time. Perfect place to relax, we stayed there two weeks and we love it. Very good food prepared by neighbors: Kumara and his wife Chamila. Our two boys (10 and 4 yo) felt also really comfortable. Reasonable distance to the beach.
Totalmente recomendable!

About the Host, Belinda
Having had a very busy life - now starting to call down a bit..... sort of.
I have four grown up kids who have taken over my life for a long time - and I have been running a busy production company in Spain for many years.
My favourite pass-times are traveling and food. When at my place you will eat well, for sure.
I want to make it special when you come and stay - I appreciate constructive criticism .
I love quirky people - love sudden spurts of madness and letting my hair down, but am quite calm and responsible most of the time . If there is a live concert it will take me out and i will probably be the last one home, but otherwise I don't go out much.
I am one to mix in with the locals and love the local food and markets - will spend hours chatting and finding out more - I help a charity in Hikkaduwa called Manacare - they do great things - I just give them my love and help a little if i can.
I love to read - real life experiences - travel books - all about Asia.
I am a bit of an artist and love all form of art - from photography, to painting , though fabric design and interior design and recently have been making 'mandalas' which I find very therapeutic.
My motto: smile and be happy and dont interfere in how others lead their lives - we are all different!
