Located near St Viateur and Fairmount in the heart of the Mile-end district with its nice restaurants, cafes, bagel shops and Laurier Street which is a nice shopping street. 15 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes walk to the Mont Royal and 10 minutes to little Italy its charming restaurants and cafes and jean Talon's Market, Montreal biggest open air market.Next bus station 1 minute walk.The Bus no. 55 will bring you downtown within 15 minutes. Metro station 10 min walking distance.
The house has four bedrooms, an office, a dining and a living room and two bathrooms. Very luminous with wood floors. One queen bed, one double and two single beds. Sheets and towels are provided
The dining table can seat up to 8 persons. The kitchen is fully equiped with a dishwasher, a cafe machine and a toaster and a lot of cooking equipment ( wok, paella pans, cataplana, roemer topf, marrocan tagine, cuisinart ). All furnished with a wash-machine and a dryer. Also includes internet access. The house has no air conditioning but is equiped with ventilators for the summer period.
Free parking space are available on surrounding streets (St Urbain, Waverly, Fairmount, St Viateur).
.The court yard provides a dining table with six additional seats and a barbecue.
Stefan was a good host, responsive, descriptive and helpful to all my queries. The unit was as described, spacious and homely for families and large groups. The location is the greatest plus, close to downtown and old Montreal yet in a safe and vibrant neighborhood with lots of places to eat. Would definitely recommend anyone to experience Montreal and Quebec, while staying here.

The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood in Montreal, next to lots of great restaurants and not far from the Parc Mont Royal with multiple paths for running/biking, etc.

I cant recommend highly enough this wonderful place in my favorite neighborhood in Montreal. Great kitchen and a great outdoor deck in a quiet space in the heart of the best eating in the city - the two best bagel bakeries, the best fish market, the best butcher, the best ice cream, great music scene, etc etc, all just a short walk away. Really the best Montreal living has to offer, and easy enough to get to the tourist spots too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. The host was pleasant and informative and the house had lots of light and enough space so that all 7 of us could feel comfortable. We were also very grateful for all the kitchen amenities! The only issue with this location would be the parking situation. It takes some patience to try and get a free spot with the posted time restrictions, but this is understandable in residential areas.

The stay with Stefan's place was a disappointment. It felt as if his family had just run out as we were coming in the door and we arrived late afternoon. There was a strong smell of mold in the house, the basement access to the laundry was overwhelming with the smell of mold. There were wet clothes in the machine and dry clothes in the dryer. There was an open jar of Marinara sauce left on the counter. The bath towels were air dried and thus scratchy but worse, reeked of mold. The layout was nice in terms of space but it did not feel clean. Stefan was slow to reply to my efforts to communicate and send access details.
What a beautiful spacious house in an excellent location. I wish I could live there!
