I highly recommend renting this property. A group of 7 women stayed here for four days and it was amazing. The patio is enclosed and beautiful, the rooms are welcoming, and two washrooms made getting ready so much easier. I would stay again. The neighbourhood is quiet and inviting, and walk-able to everything.
Just a heads up, if you are travelling internationally, like us, the internet wasn't working. I had done planning beforehand, so this wasn't a huge setback. It was inconvenient, but wouldn't keep me from renting again. There are coffee shops, and such, in the area that have WiFi, but it was difficult.
It was a cozy spot to call home, cook meals, and relax.
The location is good. But the house is litter bit old and disrepair. When we arrived the ceiling was fall two large pieces of. Then we can't contact the host.
The home has a very central location in a fun area (right around the corner from the famous bagel shop). Although it was hard to find --especially at night, when we arrived--the alley it was nestled in was quiet. It had plenty of space for our kids and very clean, true to the photos. We had a great experience here.
This property is in a great place in Montreal if you want to feel like you are staying in a hip, urban neighborhood. It would be great for a group (we were only two people), because its common spaces are large and would be good for social dinners, etc. Having two stories (plus a basement for laundry) and a nice outdoor space further makes it great for a group. Although we were there to visit Montreal, we found it hard to leave the lovely back porch, where we enjoyed coffee each morning. There are many spices and cooking utensils in the kitchen that make the idea of a summer dinner al fresco very appealing.
